Earlier we gave you a new look at Julian Richards’ Shiver, which stars Danielle Harris (Halloween, Stake Land), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Rae Dawn Chong (Commando). With EFM underway, we just now got our hands on yet another sales one sheet and batch of stills, definitely a bit more exciting. Richards directed the popular The Last Horror Movie.

“Wendy Alden, a young secretary in Portland lacking in self- confidence becomes victim of a savage killer who has claimed the lives of a number of other women. Somehow Wendy finds the resources of courage to fight back and escape and finally confront the monster of her living nightmare in a nerve shattering climax.”

It was announced today that Welsh film director Julian Richards (The Last Horror Movie, Summer Scars) has completed principal photography on his debut Hollywood feature film Shiver, a psychological thriller starring Danielle Harris (Halloween, Stake Land), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Rae Dawn Chong (Commando). Filmed on location in Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon, Shiver is a women in peril story about a young secretary stalked by a relentless serial killer who finds the courage to fight back. “Fans of Hitchcock, ‘Halloween’ and ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ will enjoy ‘Shiver,’ ” said Richards, “I set out to thoroughly torture the heroine whilst having fun with a killer that just won’t take no for an answer.” Post production on SHIVER is scheduled for completion in May 2011 with a world premiere planned for Toronto International Film Festival in September. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.

Zombie’s vision of this film is an entirely new take on the legend and will satisfy fans of the classic “Halloween” legacy while beginning a new chapter in the Michael Myers saga. “This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined,” says Zombie.

Fifth in the Halloween series and the fourth to feature the character of Michael Myers. It is close to Halloween 1989 and Jamie (the heroine of H4) is in Haddonfield’s Children’s Hospital after attacking her step-mother the year previously. She is being treated by Dr. Loomis with the aid of her step-sister Rachel and Rachel’s friend Tina but she hasn’t said a word since the attack but to her horror discovers that she has a mind-link to her murdering uncle, Michael who has spent the year recovering from his wounds in a coma and awakes to again go after Jamie. His plan is to lure Jamie out of the hospital by going after Tina (who is going to a Halloween party) and by murdering Rachel. Jamie knows that she must leave the hospital to save herself and with the aid of Dr. Loomis set out to defeat Michael on his own home ground – The Myers house…
