Grab a drink and a cheeseburger because David Hasselhoff is heading back to the water in this year’s Piranha 3DD. He joins the previously announced cast which includes Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner.

Trading in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” for terror at The Big Wet Water Park, Hasselhoff will face off with the flesh eating fish of Piranha 3DD on November 23, 2011.

Writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan reteam with Feast director John Gulgar for this wet and wild bloodfest.

Bloody Disgusting received breaking news that Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) and Paul Scheer (“The League,” “Human Giant”) have signed on to join the cast of Piranha 3DD after surviving last year’s feast.

The boys are back but will they survive another sharp toothed invasion?

They join the previously announced Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey and Katrina Bowden, while “this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

Piranha 3DD is currently in production and will splash into theaters nationwide on November 23, 2011.

Piranha 3DD, currently shooting in Wilmington, NC, just added Katrina Bowden (30 Rock, Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil) to it’s constantly growing cast. The actress, recently crowned Esquire Magazine’s 2011 Sexiest Woman Alive, will join Gary Busey, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, and Clu Gulager.

The sequel, directed by John Gulager (Feast), continues down the path of “ridiculous” as the piranha this time make their way into swimming pools, pipes, plumping and such at a newly opened waterpark named “Wilderness Waters”! The race is on to save the town from these flesh-eating creatures that are leaving a bloodbath in their wake.

With the announcement of Gary Busey joining the cast earlier, I didn’t think things could get much better for Piranha 3DD today. And then this audition video – featuring Chicago actor Andy Eninger – started making the rounds. This guy has got the silly overreacting down pat, someone get him a cameo ASAP.

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Gary Busey has joined the cast of Dimension Films’ now-filing sequel to Piranha 3D.

Principal photography is now underway in Wilmington, NC on Piranha 3DD, being directed by John Gulager (Feast).

Here’s the official plot crunch: “There’s something in the water… again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Dimension Films has officially started production on the sequel to Piranha 3D.

Principal photography is now underway in Wilmington, NC on Piranha 3DD, being directed by John Gulager (Feast).

Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies, Friday the 13th), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man), David Koechner (Anchorman), Meagan Tandy (Unstoppable), Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager and more cast to be announced soon.
