Cradle Of Filth Announce US Headlining Tour

Cradle Of Filth Post Song Preview: Announce Contest

A preview of a new track from Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, the forthcoming album by Britain’s extreme metal titan, Cradle Of Filth, is now streaming on the album’s mini-site. The track, titled ‘The Cult Of Venus Aversa’, is also playing on the band’s new iPhone app, which launched this week, and can be downloaded at: http://mobileroadie.com/apps/cof-app.
The free app contains audio samples, videos, pics, and allows users to keep up with all the latest news from the band.  The app also has a ‘Top Users’ function, which awards points every time the app is used (i.e. write on the fan wall, post photo, share items to Facebook and Twitter, listen to tracks).  The band will award a special prize of a unique signed art print of the album’s artwork, plus a signed copy of the album to whoever is the top user at midday (UK time) on the day of the UK release (November 1st).  Full terms and conditions are on the mini-site.

Britain’s most notorious extreme metal act, Cradle Of Filth, has posted a new video blog discussing their forthcoming album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, on the album’s mini-site.  Tune in today to see Dani and the rest of the band discuss the recording process of the upcoming release, the meaning behind the title, the album artwork, and more.

Cradle of Filth, one of Britain’s most notorious and infamous names in heavy metal, has unveiled the album art for their forthcoming ninth studio album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, which is due out on November 9th on Nuclear Blast Records.  The artwork for the record frontman Dani Filth calls, “without doubt the fastest and most brutal album we’ve created to date,” comes courtesy of Natalie Shau.
“This album is Cradle at our most sinister and darkened fairytale,” continues Dani.  “A gothic horror themed slay-ride of fervour and perversion; yet amidst the orchestral melodrama and lush, cinematic production, there sits stalwart a ravening beast of furious riffing, flesh ripping vocals and monstrous, unstoppable percussion.”
