[Review] Withdraw Any Desire To Check Out ATM

Now on VOD from IFC is David Brooks’ self-contained thriller ATM, which centers on three co-workers who — on a routine stop at an ATM — unexpectedly end up in a desperate fight for their lives. Bloody stringer Brad McHargue check out the thriller and suggests you withdraw (pun intended) any desire to rent it.

“‘ATM‘ is one of those films that, on paper, has serious potential. Director David Brooks, unfortunately, failed to instill in it anything that resembles real suspense, preferring instead to give us an hour and a half of three boring characters doing stupid things as a silent guy in a mask stands around and watches.”

Limited Theaters April 6: Centers on three co-workers who — on a routine stop at an ATM — unexpectedly end up in a desperate fight for their lives.

The plot follows three co-workers who stop off at an ATM on the way home from a Christmas party. From there, the rest of the story is set primarily in the ATM vestibule, and never leaves the supermarket parking lot. Seems that they’re trapped by a menacing man in a hooded parka, with no way of escape.

Grab A Tire Iron And Check Out ATMs Killer In Poster, Pair Of Clips!

IFC Midnight is withdrawing tons of content from David Brooks’ self-contained thriller ATM, which will be released on VOD and Digital Platforms (iTunes, Amazon Streaming, XBox ZUNE, PS3 Video Unlimited) on March 2nd before opening in theaters on April 6th.

The official one-sheet displays the killer looming just out the ATM, while the first two clips take us inside where all of the chaos ensues.

Penned by by Chris Sparling, whose previous credits include the Ryan Reynolds-starrer Buried, the flick stars Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker), Josh Peck (The Wackness), Alice Eve (Entourage).

The trio play co-workers who make a late-night visit to an ATM and find themselves fighting for their lives when they become trapped by an unknown man.
