Miles Fisher, star of various online shorts (including “Pinkberry: The Movie”), scored the leading role in Warner Bros. and New Line’s forthcoming Final Destination 5, arriving in theaters August 12.

Even with his big screen debut just weeks away, Fisher is continuing with his love for parodies delivering “New Romance,” a Final Destination 5 viral video that spoofs the classic ’80s kids show “Saved By the Bell”. The short comes from American Psycho producer Jake Avnet and director Dave Green.

Make sure you stick with it because the deaths begin about halfway through…

New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures has released a full hi-res image gallery featuring over 30 stills from Final Destination 5, which pits Death vs teens for a fifth time on August 12.

In this fifth installment from James Cameron protege Steven Quale, “Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.”

A Russian one sheet has been released for New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Final Destination 5, which pits Death vs teens for a fifth time on August 12. The poster features a shot of said kids, with the bridge coming alive. It’s pretty cheesy.

Thanks to BD reader ‘Jarredah’ for tipping us off to EW who has the first clip from New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Final Destination 5, which pits Death vs teens for a fifth time on August 12. In the aforementioned clip posted inside, FD 5 star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood experiences one of the worst procedures you can imagine during a visit to the eye doctor. Yikes!

One of my close friends (not associated with the movie, at all) caught a special showing of Steven Quale’s 3-D horror pic and absolutely loved it – going as far as to call it the best sequel in the franchise!

Last November B-D was invited to visit the Vancouver set of the latest sequel to get a behind-the-scenes look at the production process, during which I was given the opportunity to witness the filming of one particularly bad-ass action sequence, chat it up with several members of the cast and crew – including first-time franchise director and James Cameron protégé Steven Quale – and marvel at the uncanny smoothness of ageless producer Craig Perry’s baby-soft skin. Final Destination producer Craig Perry is a very good friend of the site, and a longtime supporter of the horror genre. In past years, we’ve had Perry talk directly to fans right here on the site. We’re going to try things a little different this time around.

Arriving in theaters August 12 is Warners Final Destination 5, which was directed by James Cameron protege Steven Quale. The fifth film in the franchise begins with a suspension bridge disaster and takes the mythology in a new direction. There’s a lot to talk about, which is why Bloody Disgusting readers can ask Perry questions via Twitter, with the answers being posted right here on the site!

Update: I just got off the phone with producer Craig Perry who swears to me up and down that the trailer actually doesn’t ruin much at all. In light of this, I guess it’s pretty cool if they were able to make the trailer this jam-packed and somehow found a way to keep it fresh for viewers when it hits theaters this August…

These are the days I hate owning a horror movie website.

Warner Bros. Pictures released the second full trailer for Final Destination 5, which not only reveals the new plot twist, but it also puts on display a portion of what appears to be every single death in the film — not to mention a hefty portion of the opening suspension bridge disaster. I would do just about anything to go back in time and NOT watch it.

David Harley wasn’t a fan of the latest poster for the Steven Quale-directed Final Destination 5 3D, saying it didn’t do anything to separate itself from the horrid fourth film, The Final Destination. I’m thinking he may enjoy this newly release international one sheet that integrates the new plot with the well-known FD skull. Update: We have added an English-language version inside, thanks to reader ‘jarredah’.

The boys over at Arrow in the Head have a photo of a new one sheet for the Steven Quale-directed Final Destination 5 3D, which appears to be some sort of international sales art (Warners tells Bloody that it’s not theirs, but Arrow assures us it’s the real deal). It features a dude hanging for his life (not as cool as Stallone in Cliffhanger) and some subliminal imagery (it has something to do with the light leaking through the cracking bridge). Also, it looks as if New Line Cinema has opted to push the film behind “the writer of A Nightmare on Elm Street“. Is this a good selling point? Speak below!

He joins the previously announced cast which includes Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner.

Trading in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” for terror at The Big Wet Water Park, Hasselhoff will face off with the flesh eating fish of Piranha 3DD on November 23, 2011.

Bloody Disgusting received breaking news that Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) and Paul Scheer (“The League,” “Human Giant”) have signed on to join the cast of Piranha 3DD after surviving last year’s feast.

The boys are back but will they survive another sharp toothed invasion?

They join the previously announced Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey and Katrina Bowden, while “this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

Piranha 3DD is currently in production and will splash into theaters nationwide on November 23, 2011.

With the announcement of Gary Busey joining the cast earlier, I didn’t think things could get much better for Piranha 3DD today. And then this audition video – featuring Chicago actor Andy Eninger – started making the rounds. This guy has got the silly overreacting down pat, someone get him a cameo ASAP.

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Gary Busey has joined the cast of Dimension Films’ now-filing sequel to Piranha 3D.

Principal photography is now underway in Wilmington, NC on Piranha 3DD, being directed by John Gulager (Feast).

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Dimension Films has officially started production on the sequel to Piranha 3D.

Principal photography is now underway in Wilmington, NC on Piranha 3DD, being directed by John Gulager (Feast).

Writer Teases Quality of ‘Final Destination 5′ Deaths

You got to love Twitter, a place where a writer, director or star can spit out a quick quotable blurb for us to quickly write up story on.

Final Destination 5 screenwriter Eric Heisserer reports in with some uplifting news after seeing an early cut of the film. “Saw a cut of #FD5 last week. You guys are gonna love the deaths. Esp the lasik sequence,” he teases, referencing a death sequence that sold New Line Cinema on hiring Heisserer for the fourth sequel. “There is a LOT of character development in the FD5 script,” he adds, “Unsure how much will survive editing. Fingers crossed.”

You’re telling me, I’m crossing my toes too. After the two previous terrible sequels, the producers promised a darker “return to the roots” style. And frankly, the more character development, the more you’ll care when those little teen bastards die.

Are you guys clamoring for more Final Destination films? Statistically speaking, you may get your wish — and even better, per your infinite requests, you may be seeing a lot more of Tony Todd as “Bludworth”.

When asked what to expect from the upcoming Final Destination 5 Todd told Dread Central, “Thumbs up! Thumbs way up. They expanded my part, and the producer told me as we were leaving Vancouver that if it opens at Number 1 – which statistically it has – they’re going to shoot the next two simultaneously.”

Back-to-back Final Destination sequels? A bigger role for Tony Todd? After the disastrous fourth film in the franchise, might New Line Cinema be headed in the right direction?! Producers promised a darker “return to the roots” approach for the Steven Quale-directed 3D pic arriving in theaters August 26. Sh*t, Quale is James Cameron’s protege, how is that not already moving things in the right direction? What do you guys think? That’s a whole lotta question marks…
