“Scott McCall’s life is a living nightmare. Sure, he’s co-captain of the Beacon Hills High Lacrosse Team and he’s got a hot new girlfriend named Allison who adores him — but Scott was bitten by a werewolf. And every time he gets excited, the claws come out. And the hair. And the fangs. Which might be okay, except Allison’s father leads a specially trained group of Hunters who want him dead. Scott’s managed to keep his secret safe, but what happens when he can’t reverse the process? In this original comic book story based on MTV’s new hit series, Scott’s stuck — and nothing can change him back. Will he stay a Werewolf forever? The horror begins here.”

‘Trueblood’ Explores ‘The French Quarter’ With Comic Book Prequel

Judging by the most recent sales numbers it would be easy to venture an educated guess that the millions of viewers for HBO Entertainment’s “TRUEBLOOD” series have not exactly translated to the illustrated version of the New York Times Best Seller. But that isn’t stopping IDW Publishing as today they have announced the newest arc in the series of monthly minis with “THE FRENCH QUARTER”. The arc begins this August, and below you can get all the juicy details (That pun will be a lot more relevant in T-Minus 2 seconds).

“In this sequel to the first True Blood miniseries, “All Together Now,” mind-reading waitress Sookie Stackhouse is in New Orleans, helping Vampire Sherrif Eric Northman track down an insane killer named Guerra. Eric and Godric killed Guerra in Paris, more than 200 years ago. Or did they? Bill Compton’s in town, too, making sure Eric doesn’t get fresh with Sookie, and investigating a local Hep-D outbreak that may be connected to Guerra’s latest victims. Meanwhile, back in Bon Temps, why is Pam hanging out at Merlotte’s — and what does she want with Lafayette?”
