[Premiere] Check Out The Official Strangers “Persona Non Grata” Music Video

Bloody-Disgusting is excited to bring you the exclusive US music video premiere for “Persona Non Grata” from Australian rockers Strangers. The song is the title track from their debut album, which will be coming out in the US April 9th via Permanent Records. The video mixes performance footage of the band with shots of a man in a sleeping bag running frantically away (or toward?) something. This band is definitely for fans of Karnivool or Dead Letter Circus.

Below you can find the video, tour dates, social links, and a FREE download of their track “Bred For Breeding”. Enjoy! READ MORE

[Review] A Liquid Landscape ‘Nightingale Express’

aliquidlandscapenightingaleexpresscover [Review] A Liquid Landscape Nightingale Express

I’m a sucker for alternative prog-rock. There’s just enough heaviness to satisfy the metal head in me but there is also a vast amount of tones and effects to appeal to the audiophile in me. Seriously, it’s like I’m an addict and the only cure is more interesting and unique sounds. So when I did a bit of reading and checking into A Liquid Landscape, I was immediately intrigued. They cite influences such as Dredg, Porcupine Tree, Sigur Ros, Karnivool, People In Planes, Tool, and more. Talk about an impressive roster of bands to admire, right? But anyone can claim such bands influence them. The question is can they take those influences and make a unique final product? Is Nightingale Express an album that stands on its own merits? Exclusive Interview: Kim Benzie Of Dead Letter Circus

If you read my review of This Is The Warning then you know how I feel about Dead Letter Circus. This Australian band came to my attention when I heard that they’d be signed to Sumerian Records, a label that has a lot of amazing talent signed on. So, after hearing the album (mind blown) and seeing that they were doing a US tour with Animals As Leaders (interview here), I knew that I had to meet up with the guys and have a little chat.

Check after the jump for our exclusive video interview with singer Kim Benzie as well as some amazing photographs done by RAD Photography.

Album Review: Dead Letter Circus ‘This Is The Warning’

Last year I was blown away by Australia’s Karnivool and their album Sound Awake. Their song New Day ended up getting my Song of the Year for 2010 and I still blast that album to this day. Well, this year brings me another Aussie band: Dead Letter Circus. Their debut album, This Is The Warning, has been out for over a year down under but is only just now getting a proper US release through Sumerian Records on July 26th. Produced by Forrester Savell, the same man who produced Sound Awake, there are obvious ways to connect the sound of Dead Letter Circus to Karnivool. But is This Is The Warning different enough to stand out on its own?
