Back again just like the past 2 years, and like always I want to know what YOU thought was the best horror game of 2009. Last year was a good race, and Dead Space narrowly beat out Left 4 Dead for the win. I could post a top 10 of my favorite horror games of last year, but I like it better when you guys do the work for me.
And now for my wonderous disclaimer. The games on this list are that that would reflect anything horror, sci-fi, bloody and or disgusting, gory, thrillerish, creepy, aliens, ghosts, zombies, vampires, plain old really weird stuff, stuff that is outside of “normal”, there are no Mario’s in this list, no Call Of Duty’s, these are the games people cringe at. The games some people are too scared to play. The games parents don’t want their kids playing. The games that we love here on BD.

When I say comic adaptation of a video game series, a Pavlovian response in most readers is to cringe and/or vomit. One of the few adaptations not to do that was last years’ Dead Space comics(which is currently in paperback.) Well the team that brought you that is back to go back to the hell filled with necromorphs with Dead Space: Extraction out September 9. This should be pretty fun but I am sad it’s only a one shot…synopsis after the break.

Just 2 weeks ago Dead Space was announced for the Wii. Originally it was looking like it was going to be the same game, same storyline but with the physicality of the Wii. But announced today from E.A. that it will be totally different, new story, and new characters.
The game will be a prequel (they’re jumping all over the place with the games, movie, and comic) to the video game, and everything leading up to Issac’s arrival on the Ishimura. They are switching up to 1st person for Extraction. The games story follows a crew trying to escape the infection on the Aegis VII mining colony.
