There’s no doubt that you can’t just take Diablo III and throw it on a console. It has to be carefully and gently taken over and reformed a bit. And one thing that really needs forming is the whole controller situation. Because you have a lot more possibilities with a keyboard, transferring all those key strokes to a controller takes some finesse. Since Diablo III is also coming to the Playstation 4, there is that magical new touch pad sitting so comfortably on the top of the new Dual Shock 4 controller that will also be used to make playing the game easier and more interesting. Some of the original masters of video game horror are trying to get back to their roots, and get you back to shitting your pants. In this latest developer diary Shock and Panic the devs go into some things they did in the game to freak you the hell out. From increasing the tempo of the music to enemies spawning in random places, it seems the scare factors have been much more thought out than in the past couple games. I couldn’t be more excited for the release of Resident Evil Revelations when it comes out on the Xbox 360. If I had a 3DS I would have already played the hell out of it. A big issue a lot of gamers have with the most recent Resident Evil games is that Capcom is pulling further and further out of the horror genre. Resident Evil: Revelations is the exception. When creating the game developers wanted to recreate some of the feelings and fears players got from earlier games in the series. But one has to wonder if such a thing could ever be the same again. Sure you can add more scares and less action, but you can’t take away the crystal clear graphics and updated game play. Or could you? The video game industry has grown exponentially over time, and it’s only going to get bigger. In a poll I made up right now some people would argue that the video game industry has grown to be even bigger than the movie industry. Bringing in billions and billions a year, over the past 10 years the gaming industry is seeing much more people from movies and tv making the cross platform jump into working on video games. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is no exception. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame scored the theme song for the game. David S. Goyer who helped write the original Black Ops as well as the Batman Begins series is again writing Black Ops II. Check out the featurette video below where David, Trent, and the games Devs talk about Black Ops II.

Call of Duty Black Ops II will be released November 12th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

In this Welcome To Eden Part 2 developer diary you get cloned over and over again as you fight planet side. For those who don’t know what Dust 514 is, it’s a free to play Playstation 3 exclusive FPS. For you computer gamers to shares the Eve Online universe. In it you work as a mercenaries who work for starship pilots as they fight for territories, resources and notoriety. Just from watching the TRAILER I was sold on the free to play game. I know I jumped the gun, but the thought of a 1st person shooter where you’re jumping from planet to planet and getting in the middle of some huge firefights sounded awesome. Imagine having a girlfriend/boyfriend who didn’t care what you did. You could go about your day without being hounded. You could sit around all day eating pizza and playing video games, without fear of ever having to stop. Well in The Secret World you can build your character however you please. Just because you have great defense doesn’t mean you have to have massive bulky armor on. I can still rock a hoodie while fighting off a fucking dragon?! Fuck yeah you can.

I Am Alive is taking survival games to the next level. By that I mean they are making it incredibly real. Some would say the more real life you make a game the less fun it would be. I don’t play MMOs. I tried Final Fantasy XI a couple times, but I just couldn’t deal with it. Maybe it was because it was on PC, or maybe because I didn’t have any friends to play it with. I am however 100 percent ready to devote my life to The Secret World. If I can get a couple of friends by my side then I would be totally set. The dev diary below goes in depth on the story and missions of the game.

The really great thing is the amount of voiced characters. It really brings a game to life having the emotions of all the many characters being voiced and acted out. The game was said the be released for the PC and Xbox 360 (release dates unknown), but I’m still holding my breath on a 360 verison. READ MORE
