Roadrunner Records Posts Top 10 Greatest Roadrunner Music Videos
Whether making memorable moments, pushing the envelope with explicit imagery, cinematic technology, or just telling the gripping tale of well-thought-out storylines, music videos have always been a beacon of expression, which is why we took a look at the killer videos in Roadrunner’s long history to find ten of our most unforgettable. Numbers 10 – 6 showcased everything from the late Peter Steele playing a stand-up bass as a regular 4 string to Corey Taylor unmasked and playing the lead in a twisted short film, and now as we reveal our top 5, we get some insight from our Head of Video Promotions and veteran employee Elias Chios in addition to the bands in question, on the cinematic excellence, groundbreaking creativity and overall bad-ass entertainment of our past and present music videos. From the viral strength of DragonForce’s Sam Totman chugging a beer while Herman Li shreds through Killswitch Engage’s Adam. D. playing a fair maiden, to Slipknot destroying a house in Iowa, we give you our global staff-approved Greatest Music Videos. READ MORE

DEVILDRIVER, SUFFOCATION, GOATWHORE and THY WILL BE DONE Streaming Live From The Rave In Milwaukee
Living in Chicago I’ve ventured north to The Rave in Milwaukee many times, but just recently found out about them streaming shows live on their website last week when my cousin’s band Chainwax performed. While nothing beats a “real” live show, this is still pretty sweet and it’s free!
January 19 you can forget the brutal Wisconsin winter weather and watch Devildriver, Suffocation, Goatwhore, and Thy Will Be Done from the comfort of your own home. To watch just visit http://www.theravelive.com/ and sign up for a free account (registration is required). READ MORE
GOATWHORE joins forces with DEVILDRIVER and SUFFOCATION on ‘Bound By The Road’ tour in 2010
The mighty Goatwhore will be returning to the road in 2010 with veteran metal icons, DevilDriver and Suffocation! This will be their first tour back in North America following their upcoming European tour and is continuing the support for what is fast becoming their defining album, Carving Out The Eyes Of God. The Onion’s avclub.com declares Carving… as one of the top 30 metal albums of the decade and comments: “Ben Falgoust’s vocals and lyrics go way, way over the top, and Sammy Duet’s guitars sound more savage than ever. Both a culmination and a progression, Goatwhore reminds listeners why metal has a reputation for being terrifying.”

And, as always, Goatwhore will be equipped with their always tight, always furious, engaging live show, led by Ben Falgoust’s commanding presence and Sammy Duet’s one-man guitar attack. Zack Simmons’ on drums and new addition, James Harvey on bass, provide one of the tightest and most caustic rhythm sections in metal. This will be a tour not to miss.
