First Roles Announced For ‘V/H/S’ Director’s Found-Footage ‘Devil’s Due’

“Terra Nova’s” Allison Miller, pictured, will topline Devil’s Due, a found footage movie from Fox and Davis Entertainment, reports THR. “Friday Night Lights” star Zach Gilford, pictured below, has also just joined the cast of the horror set to film in the Dominican Republic and New Orleans.

Directing team Radio Silence (behind the final segment in V/H/S) is behind the camera from a script by Lindsay Devlin.

The plot is being kept secret but is described as female-driven, with horror elements.

John Davis is producing via his Fox-based Davis Entertainment banner. Davis dipped into his discretionary fund to acquire the project as a pitch in the spring of 2012 before setting up at Fox. READ MORE

Art of Hack/Slash Vol 2 Out This January

Love it or hate it, Hack/Slash is here to stay….but I think we can all agree that the covers and artwork for the Hack/Slash series is pretty rad. Coming this January from Devil’s Due is the second volume of the Art of Hack/Slash which will collect cover art, plus other exclusives. Is bloody cheesecake enough of a reason for a purchase?

Art of Hack/Slash out this August!!!

I noticed an ad in the new issue of Hack/Slash. In August, Devils Due Publishing is releasing the “Art of Hack/Slash,” a 48 page art book celebrating the series with a cover by Tim Seeley. I hope the brunt of the book is the all the movie poster like covers, apparently the quality of the book/paper will be suitable for framing…time will tell. Are you gonna be picking this up?

Wulf and Batsy Artist Bryan Baugh to do upcoming Hack/Slash issues

I just received word from Bryan Baugh himself that he will be the artist on two upcoming Hack/Slash issues, probably issues 24 and 25. Hack/Slash is the popular comic by Tim Seely following Cassie Hack and her adventures killing killers. I think Baugh will be a great addition to the series, he actually did the cover to Issue 3 so it’s nothing new for him. Also I can’t recommend enough to get his comic, Wulf and Batsy, that he writes and does art on. He is currently making a trade paperback that collects all the issues so far plus work you’ll never see anywhere else. More news as it surfaces…
