Could Another A Perfect Circle Studio Album Be In The Works?

In a recent interview with Las Vegas Weekly, A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel spilled the beans on the status of a future APC album, stating, “…I’d love to – when the time is right. It would be awesome. I’m trying to write songs with that in mind.” However, Howerdel has his focus elsewhere right now: “…right now, I’m focusing most of my energy on a new Ashes Divide record, which is under way with 11 songs.” Howerdel hopes to enter the mixing phase of the new Ashes Divide album in January or February.

APC’s last album was 2004′s eMOTIVe, which was a collection of cover songs from such artists as Devo, Depeche Mode, John Lennon, and more. There were also two original tracks on that record.

Meanwhile, APC will be performing their sole 2012 show tomorrow night in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood. READ MORE

Junius Announce Tour Dates

Boston-based shoegaze-rock phenoms Junius have been causing a major stir in the past few months. Following the release of their critically acclaimed full-length album, “The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist,” and being heralded by some of the country’s largest press outlets, the band repeatedly impressed audiences at this year’s SXSW marathon, helping to land them on two upcoming US tours which begin next week (one this month with rock supergroup Orbs, and the other happening this Fall supporting Volcom rock heroes Valient Thorr and Relapse Records’ newest and most brutal signing, Howl).
Now, just as they prepare to set off on months of non-stop touring, Junius have announced appearances at two of the year’s most renowned music festivals, Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest (sharing the stage w/ Devo, MGMT, Polvo, Man Man, Capn’ Jazz, The Hold Steady and more), and the other at Gainesville, Florida’s punk rock gathering, The Fest, where they’ll perform alongside some of the most worshipped acts in the underground punk scene including Frank Turner, High on Fire, Leatherface, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Teenage Bottlerocket, and countless others.
