[Review] Adrenaline Mob ‘Omertá’

 [Review] Adrenaline Mob Omertá
Comprised of some of the most talented musicians in the rock/metal scene, Adrenaline Mob has a lot going for it. After all, it’s Mike Portnoy (ex-drummer of Dream Theater), Russell Allen (singer of Symphony X), John Moyer (bassist of Disturbed), and guitarist Mike Orlando. With that kind of line-up, you gotta wonder what the final product is going to sound like. Dream Theater and Symphony X? Hell yeah! It’s gonna be some intense prog metal! But wait, Disturbed? So, it’s gonna have some commercial heavy rock appeal? And Mike Orlando, who played with Zakk Wylde and Bumblefoot, which means we’ll likely hear some shredding.
Is this the final product? Is this the sound that the band delivers? And, ultimately, is it all worth it? Find out below.

Disturbed’s David Draiman Hinting At Possible Break-Up?

AOL Noisecreep is reporting that Disturbed singer David Draiman is hinting that after the current Rockstar Mayhem tour the band will be taking an indefinite hiatus with no plans for touring in 2012. It is unknown if this circumstance is brought on by internal conflict or just a general weariness from constant recording/touring.

Well Mr. Draiman, perhaps you have not heard, but the Mayans are saying the world is ending in 2012. Roland Emmerich even made a movie about this (it was actually a documentary). Therefore, your proposed schedule does not seem like the most thought out plan. I suggest you reconsider sir.

In the week leading up to the festival, the band will be playing a few headlining shows with support coming from local acts. Tour dates for these headlining shows are after the jump.

Guitarist Chris Howorth comments: ”When we received the news that we were a part of the music as a weapon tour we were overwhelmed with emotion, Maria and I were literally moved to tears. Our band has been constantly clawing our way up the ladder in this business and its very hard to get on a big tour like this, getting this news is like getting the best Christmas present we could hope for. We are truly blessed and extremely excited for this huge opportunity! We have been fans of Disturbed since their first record and have always wanted to tour with them. We adore Korn (our Mayhem Festival buddies) and Sevendust are some of the coolest guys we’ve met during our travels! This is going to be an amazing kick off to our 2011 tour cycle! Eternal thanks to Monster and Disturbed for allowing us to be a part of such an epic event.”
