BioWare is renowned for their remarkable ability to create interesting stories, characters and dialogue. The quality of their games’ visuals and controls can vary sometimes but the stories are universally well-written. Origins wasn’t a very good looking game and the combat was less than satisfying but the story it told was enough to make it a hit. With Dragon Age II, it’s obvious BioWare wanted to offer another great story, told in a much different way, in a world filled with great characters and a more realistically realized world. READ MORE
For the most part Dead Pixels is a place TJ and I try our damnedest to make a fun, stress-free corner of the internet. An out and proud ‘straight male gamer’ (a term this individual uses often) has taken offense to BioWare’s inclusion of gay romance in Dragon Age II. His long-winded post in the game’s forum has been making its rounds on several gaming sites over the past week so I thought I’d take a minute to discuss this as well. February 22nd is the date nerds. That’s the date Bioware will be releasing the Dragon Age 2 demo for mass consumption. Like most sequels, Dragon Age 2 plans to amp everything up, from smoother battles, to better graphics and an awesome new story line. Dragon Age 2 is out March 8th, for the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
In the demo, players will venture through the game’s prologue, choosing from three different character classes. They’ll also learn more about Hawke and hone their skills and abilities that will make them the ultimate hero. After finishing the prologue, players will enter a key new location in the world of Dragon Age, Kirkwall, befriending Isabela, a romantic interest in the game who is also a deadly smuggler. Upon completion of the demo, players will unlock a special weapon, Hayder’s Razor, an ancient dwarven blade which increases health, mana, and combat abilities, in the full release of Dragon Age II.READ MORE
