E3 2012: Deep Silver Announces ‘Dead Island: Riptide’

Deep Silver has just unveiled the next entry in their popular post-apocalyptic zombie franchise and it’s called Dead Island: Riptide. Techland will again be handling development of the game, which will release on consoles and PC. Not much else was revealed other than a tease of a more extensive reveal that will come later this summer. Check out the full press release after the jump and let me know what you’d like to see from this sequel.

E3 2012: Watch Vampire Kids Get Beat Down With A Golf Club In This ‘South Park: The Stick Of Truth’ Trailer

South Park hasn’t had much success in the video games department, with the recent Tenorman’s Revenge and Let’s Go Tower Defense Play getting less than lukewarm reviews. If any game is going to remedy that it’s going to be South Park: The Stick of Truth. With South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone writing the script and lending their voices, and Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment handling development, think of this as the first legitimate game based on the series. The Stick of Truth is an action RPG starring you, so if mowing down crab people, vampire kids, underpants gnomes, and hippies sounds like your type of thing, I suggest checking out the game’s action-packed new trailer after the break.

E3 2012: This ‘ZombiU’ Debut Trailer Asks How Long Will You Survive?

The Wii U is getting an exclusive survival horror game called ZombieU, and it actually looks pretty damn excellent. The game will utilize the screen on the Wii U’s Gamepad controller for various tasks such as sniping, busting down doors, breaking free of zombies, and even as an Aliens style radar that will should almost certainly add to the game’s creep factor. It will also bring with it a competitive two-player multiplayer mode where one player will take on the rols of the “Zombie Master,” spawning and controlling zombies from a top-down view while the other player fights to survive in a first person view. ZombieU has substantially increased my excitement for the Wii U–check out the debut trailer after the jump so it can do the same for you.

E3 2012: This Jaw-Dropping ‘Watch Dogs’ Trailer Will Hack Your Mind And Make It Explode

This game came out of nowhere, but it’s already one of the most interesting announcements to come out of E3 so far. In a sea of sequels, Watch Dogs is a brand new IP that takes a fanciful look at the blackout of 2003. According to this game, the cause of the blackout was one man, who you will control, and who has a vast network of computers with which he can use to hack pretty much any and every electronic device around him, from cars and cell phones to bridges and traffic lights. Oh, and did I mention this game is gorgeous? It’ll give The Last of Us a run for its money. Head past the break for some gameplay, just make sure you have some drop cloth on the floor around you for when your mind explodes.

E3 2012: There Sure Is A Lot Going On In This ‘Resident Evil 6′ Trailer

With each new trailer I see for Resident Evil 6 I find it just a little more difficult to maintain my already very loose grasp on the game’s plot. I suppose it’s par for the course when you have three separate campaigns with their own characters and stories that are woven together, crossing over and under one another in a delicate balance of characters, plots, stories and backstories. There’s also the newly dubbed Neo-Umbrella, which could be the name of the terrorist organization that’s causing such a ruckus, but seriously–less quick cuts and maybe could you also slow things down for those of us who are currently eating your dust as you speed away on your fancy, rooftop-jumping motorcycle, Capcom? I’m not asking much, just a 20 to 30 minute video describing in detail, and preferably very slowly, just what the fuck is going on. Resident Evil 6 is a busy game, but if busy makes your joystick happy you should check it out after the break.

E3 2012: Crysis 3 Is Looking So Good I Don’t Know If Your Console Can Even Handle It

If you know anything about Crysis, you know upon the originals release it was a game changer. It became the benchmark for high quality games. Oh you think you have a good PC? Well, can it play Crysis? Well from the looks of it I’m starting to think Crysis 3 is too good looking for our consoles. Head past the break for some screenshots and the E3 trailer. I hope your eyes don’t get diabetes from how sweet the trailer is.

E3 2012: Go Clubbin’ In This New ‘DmC: Devil May Cry’ Trailer

I’ve said it again and I’ll say it until DmC comes out and proves me wrong: this game looks incredible. Dante is looking spicier than ever, the world is absolutely gorgeous, and the combat still looks like it will make me look like a complete badass, even when I don’t have a fucking clue what I’m doing. If you’ve been aching for another dose of Dante the demon slayer, I highly suggest checking out the brand new trailer after the break. There’s some dancing, a little bit of music, and a giant demon butterfly that sits in the corner and has its eyes on you.

E3 2012: Heavy Rain Dev Announces ‘Beyond: Two Souls’ With A Stunning Debut Trailer

The makers of the fantastic cinematic thriller Heavy Rain have been hard at work on a secret game that was unveiled at E3 earlier today. It’s called Beyond: Two Souls, and don’t let its awful title fool you–this game looks incredible. It’s a psychological action thriller starring a young woman who has rather remarkable powers given to her by an invisible entity. You can see the trailer, filled with lots of gorgeous gameplay, after the break. Oh, and before you ask, yes, this time it is Ellen Page.

E3 2012: Everyone And Their Mother Needs To Watch This Gameplay From “The Last Of Us”. It Is Truly Incredible.

If you don’t already know about this game then shame on you. For shame! The Last Of Us stars Ellie and Joel, 2 survivors of a plaque that has wiped out a majority of humanity. You fight to survive as you make your way across what’s left of the United States. The gameplay video you can see past the break is unreal. It’s so, smooth, so interactive, so detailed I could cry. This game goes straight to the top of my list. There are also some new screens past the break. The Last Of Us is a Playstation 3 exclusive from Naughty Dog, the developers of the Uncharted series.

E3 2012: This New ‘Lost Planet 3′ Trailer Has It All (Except Co-op)

Looks like Dead Space 3 might be given a run for its money as Lost Planet 3 is treading dangerously close to the snowy planet infested with angry bug aliens who very much want to tear you limb from limb territory. Of course, this is territory Capcom claimed back in 2006 with the first Lost Planet, but I do love the series’ new and decidedly more mature take on humans and mechs vs bug and bigger bugs vs whiteout blizzard conditions. My only concern is the lack of co-op that’s been glaringly omitted from everything Capcom’s shown of the game so far. Kicking slimy alien hiney with some friends was really the only reason I played the previous game, so either they’ll need to bring it back in this game or give us a worthy replacement. Head past the jump for the game’s chilly new E3 trailer.

E3 2012: ‘Dead Space 3′ Coming In February, Trailer Offers A Lovely Dose Of Bromance

The long awaited Dead Space 3 trailer is finally here and my oh my is it tasty. I’m sure there are plenty fans who will see this brighter and more co-op focused Dead Space as a sign that the series is beginning to follow Resident Evil in favoring action over horror, but before your eyes turn red and steam starts pouring out of your ears Elmer Fudd style, remember: that’s what a lot of us thought with Dead Space 2. The fact that the co-op is optional–meaning you can go it alone with the cumbersome AI companion–only makes this game even more exciting. Head past the break for our the debut trailer and a little co-op gameplay from what will definitely be one of next year’s most anticipated games.

E3 2012: How About Some Gritty Sidescrolling Horror? “Deadlight” Screens Are Inside, Won’t You Join Me?

So I’ve got some new screens from the amazing looking side scrolling horror game Deadlight from E3. However (and this happens a lot), some of the screenshots released we’re already released months ago. So I apologize. But that shouldn’t really get any of us down, because side scrolling horror? How often do we actually see that? Not often, so we should embrace the hell out of if when it comes along. Head past the break for the screen shots from E3. Also feel free to complain over the fact that this is going to be an Xbox 360/Live Arcade exclusive.

E3 2012: Say Hello To “Gears Of War: Judgement”

Just a few days back we broke wind of a new Gears Of War game to be announced at E3. Yes, broke wind. Well, Gears Of War: Judgement has been announced and it’s definitely not was I was expecting. I think most people looked at it as if it could be a prequel to the original series. Turns out, well, that’s pretty much the truth. However it doesn’t center around Marcus and Dom, but Baird and Cole. We can look forward to an epic back story coming to life and an all new multiplayer mode. Also, health grenades? Fuck yeah. Lots more past the break.

Watch Lara Croft Run From A Plane Engine In This New Tomb Raider Trailer

Developer Crystal Dynamics is taking the longstanding series in an entirely new direction with a reboot that promises to show us a more innocent side to the sultry badass that is Lara Croft. Tomb Raider takes place before Lara realized raiding tombs was her true calling, and long before Angelina Jolie helmed that duo of stunningly awful films based on the series (seriously people, she punched a shark in the face). A lot happens in this new gameplay trailer–Lara impales herself on a pole, knees a guy in the naughty bits and runs from a fucking plane engine. Tomb Raider won’t be out until March 5th, but so far I’m loving the exponentially more likable Lara and the blend of horror and action. Check out the intense new trailer after the break so you can decide for yourself if you like this new and improved Lara Croft.

New Dead Space 3 Screens Show Off New Enemies, Weapons And Co-op

The steady drip feed of information regarding the highly anticipated Dead Space 3 continues with a slimy Necromorph spanking batch of screenshots that show off the game’s long-rumored co-op, as well as some new suits, weapons and hideous monsters with faces only a mother could love. Well, I love them too, but for entirely different reasons. When I see a Necoromorph’s face I’m overwhelmed with the urge to kiss it, but not with my lips, oh no sir, that’s too unsanitary. I want to kiss them on the face with the dangerous end of my plasma cutter. Ha! Good luck biting me after I’ve strategically dismembered your head from your body! I AM ADAM, TOAST ENTHUSIAST AND SLAYER OF NECROMORPHS. Oh, and check out the screenshots after the jump.

The decision was made so the development team could make some tweaks that will certainly make the game even better, so I’m all for that. Now dry your tears baby bird, because it’s not that bad. No word yet on whether this will be the highly anticipated Dead Space 3 or the third person adventure or shooter spin-off that have also been rumored to be in production, but there’s a very good chance we’ll have our burning questions answered at E3 next month. Valve Says No Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 Or Portal 3 At E3

I’ll try my hardest not to start violently sobbing while I write this, but you can be sure that as soon as I hit ‘Publish’ I’m immediately going to turn off the lights, lie down on my floor and weep silently while singing to myself until the bad thoughts go away. In case you were hoping for some news regarding any of Valve’s unannounced titles like Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and Portal 3, it sounds like none of them will be making an appearance at E3 next month. According to Valvetime.net, the disheartening news came from an e-mail exchange with Gabe Newell, who said “We’re not announcing anything. Really.
