Chicago based metal band Oceano have announced that they are working on their third studio album Incisions, which is the follow up to 2010′s Contagion. The album will be released later this year via Earache Records.
Guitarist Nick Conser comments, “The new Oceano comes out today. Get ready for it. We’re starting a new chapter in this band. We’re not selling out. We’re not getting soft. We’re getting more fucked up and bringing more hate. And if you want us to change, then you’re gonna be disappointed. We’re not gonna replicate any album that we’ve ever released. We’re going to get more evil than anything you’ve heard from this band. Today will show the start of how hateful this record is gonna be.”
The band has released a lyric video for a new song entitled “Slow Murder”, which you can watch below. READ MORE

Scion A/V Metal is teaming up with Earache Records for a free showcase on Jan. 12th, 2013 at 1pm PST in Pomono, CA. The showcase will be headlined by Oceano with support coming from Vektor, Bonded By Blood, and White Wizzard. To RSVP, click here.
David DiSanto of Vektor said, “We’re real stoked to be a part of this event. 25 years is longer than most of us have been on Earth! Congrats to Earache and thank you to Scion for all of the support for the show. See you sleazoids there!“.
Bonded by Blood’s Carlos Relgado adds, “We are excited to say that we are going to be a part of this year’s Earache showcase, along with Scion who have been super cool and have gone out of their way to support us and the scene. We just couldn’t be more grateful for them to put on shows like this – down the street from where we rehearse none the less! The Glass House in Pomona has always been one of the best known (yet also sort of unknown) places to play. In the past couple of years or so they have not been having very many metal shows. We are hoping to change that.
“We look forward to seeing a lot of friends and family and we can’t wait to share the stage once again with great friends such as Vektor and White Wizzard. Cheers!” READ MORE
Remember that Radiohead video for House of Cards? You know, the one that was shot with no cameras or lights, just lasers and a fancy system to pick it all up? Well, Evile have released a video for Cult, which comes off their upcoming album Five Serpent’s Teeth, and it’s, in my opinion, a much cooler take on this idea.
Check it out after the jump and let me know who you think did it better, Radiohead or Evil?
Texas metal band The Browning will be filming a video for their song Bloodlust at Dad’s Venue in Lewisville, Texas this Saturday and they are calling for anyone who wants to be in the video to show up! All you need to do is be there from 12:00pm to 5:00pm dressed up for a nightclub rave scene. Those who are in attendance will be treated to an after party where the band will give a sneak preview of their upcoming album, Burn The World (out October 3rd).
Check after the jump to hear Not Alone, a new track from Burn The World.
Scottish death metal band (how often do I get to write that?) Cerebral Bore have released a video for ‘Maniacal Miscreation‘, the title track off their latest album. Check after the jump for a comment from frontwoman Simone “Som” Pluijmer as well as the video. Funny story: When I watched the video, all I could think about was Egg Shen from Big Trouble In Little China saying, ‘Black blood of the Earth!’.
Singapore’s Wormrot are about to release their second album, ‘Dirge‘, and as a special offer, they are releasing a very limited (100 only) splatter vinyl featuring two tracks that do not appear on the album. Wormrot are currently on tour in the US. Check out the remaining tour dates after the jump. READ MORE
Jason Decay, bassist/vocalist for the heavy metal band Cauldron, has sent Bloody-Disgusting his Top 10 Horror Movies. Reading through it, you can tell that this guy loves the cheesy flicks with the ‘so-bad-that-it’s-good’ soundtracks. Check out the list after the jump as well as tour dates and album information.
The Browning have released a video for ‘Time Will Tell’ from their upcoming digital EP of the same name. Their debut full length album will be released later this year. The music is a fun mix of metal and techno, though the video doesn’t impress. It’s your typical “band-is-in-front-of-an-abandoned-decaying-building-and-the-camera-is-handheld-and-shaky” fare.
Deathcore band Oceano will be hitting the road in January for the ‘Contaminating The Coast’ tour. Supporting acts will be For The Fallen Dreams, Upon A Burning Body, The Great Commission, and I The Breather. Check after the jump for tour dates (more of which will be announced HERE).
Earache records have announced the release of ‘Extreme Stage Diving’, a FREE game for iPhone and iPod Touch that features ten full-length blistering metal tracks for you to beat the ever living crap out of those damn stage divers. The object is to throw the stage diver off the stage as far as you can while avoiding bottles, merch stands and portable toilets. Want your FREE copy? Just click HERE! Also, check after the jump for the full track listing of the game.
