During Mike Mignola’s “Hellboy” panel at ECCC, they spoke about the upcoming Abe Sapien series, which will see his return to the B.P.R.D. Universe this March. Dark Horse partnered with Multiversity.com to launch a wicked contest for you aspiring artists out there. They are asking for any and all artists to send in your drawing of Abe Sapien. The winner will receive a complete set of the “Hellboy Library Editions”, as well as a set for their local comic shop. READ MORE
The DC Comics: New 52 panel was jam packed with creators including David Finch, Scott Snyder, Jeff Lemire, James Tynion, Ray Fawkes, Ethan Van Sciver, Gail Simone, Matt Kindt, and James Robinson. They dove into the books quickly, chatting about all things in the New 52. The biggest news to come is that Ray Fawkes will be penning a brand new series starring the mysterious Pandora, who has been appearing throughout the DCU since the relaunch.

The biggest news to come from the panel was the announcement of Joshua Williamson’s new series called, “Ghosted”, which is described as “Oceans 11, but in a haunted house”. The Secret Origin panel series this year at ECCC brings in a bunch of top creators in the industry for one-on-one chats to hear their thoughts on the industry and their upcoming work. Ben Templesmith chatted at length about his career, including his first paid gig on a “Hamlet” adaptation that never saw the light of day.
