The Keep

Described by one observer as The Ring meets Inception, Keep is a story within a story about two cousins with a shared secret who reunite to renovate a legendary haunted medieval castle that turns dreams and nightmares into reality.

Children of the Corn (remake)

In the original a boy preacher named Isaac goes to a town in Nebraska called Gatlin and gets all the children to murder every adult in town. A young couple have a murder to report and they go to the nearest town (Gatlin) to seek help but the town seems deserted. They are soon trapped in Gatlin with little chance of getting out alive

Videodrome (remake)

The original “Videodrome” starred James Woods as the head of Civic TV Channel 83, who makes his station relevant by programming “Videodrome,” a series that depicts torture and murder that transfixes viewers.

The new picture will modernize the concept, infuse it with the possibilities of nano-technology and blow it up into a large-scale sci-fi action thriller.

The Hill (Matterhorn)

The idea is to do a thrilling, fast-paced movie centering on five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain and encounter a Yetis on the journey down. There’s said to be a supernatural twist.

Kevin Williamson Reveals The Original Plot Of ‘Scream 3′

I know that Scream 3 is sort of a divisive entry in that franchise. A lot of you guys dig the “Scooby gang goes to Hollywood” angle, some not so much. I actually kind of liked the movie when I first saw it in 2000, but now I can’t really get through it. Something about Kevin Smith appearing in this film – and then spoofing the series a year later in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back – links the two films so closely in my mind that remembering either one of them activates the same pain center.

Of course there’s a ton of other stuff wrong with it too. Aside from “he was making a movie called ‘Stab’. He was stabbed.” Incoming screenwriter Ehren Kruger didn’t fully understand the franchise. The screenwriter who did understand the franchise, Kevin Williamson, was too busy to take a pass at a draft. But now, speaking to ET about his upcoming show “The Following”, he’s revealed his original concept for Part 3. One that takes a page from April Fool’s Day.

Let’s Hope Ehren Kruger Doesn’t Write The Yetis Out Of ‘Matterhorn’!

Last month we reported that Brian Beletic, a hotshot commercials director, was going to be making his feature helming debut on Matterhorn (previously titled The Hill).

At the time, Jason Dean Hall was penning the project. But now it appears as though Ehren Kruger (Transformers 2, Scream 3) has been brought on to either revise or rewrite Hall’s original draft. It’s also worth noting that this project might get another title change. Since they’re now just referring to it as Untitled Mountain Adventure Movie or something (there’s several variations on this in the articles headline and content).

Per The Hollywood Reporter, “High-flying scribe Ehren Kruger has been tapped to work on Disney’s untitled explorers movie project… The project formerly was associated with the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland but its scope has since been broadened. The story centers on five young adventure seekers — an action sports guy, travel guide, cartographer, archeologist and escape artist — who venture into the Alps for mysterious reasons and face Yetis that guard a secret.

We were previously told the project had a supernatural bent. No word yet on if Kruger’s involvement means that it will be brought up in the first act and then dropped like a hot potato. READ MORE
