Toronto-based musician Allie Hughes has released a video for I Will Love You More under the moniker ALX. The video tells the tale of a woman so obsessed with a man that she breaks into his apartment and steals his clothes in order to create a replica of him with the assistance of a mannequin. What goes on from there is probably illegal in more than a few states. Check it out below and, if you enjoy the song, you can snag a free download here. READ MORE
On this edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week, we show Dirge515‘s suggestion of David Firth’s animated video for Aphex Twin‘s Milkman. Definitely not for the light-hearted, this animation features loads of violence and gore with a healthy dose of necrophilia. Check it out below.

This week’s Twisted Music Video Of The Week brings us something a little more mellow musically but just as weird visually: Boards Of Canada‘s Everything You Do Is A Balloon. The video uses clips from the 1963 bicycle safety film, One Got Fat (which you can download here), and shows several children, all wearing ape masks, dying one by one as they ride their bikes. It counts down much the same way that Ten Little Indians does.
I don’t know about you guys, but I definitely see the Metroid series having a lot of horror influences. The bosses are pretty creepy looking, you never know what’s coming up, and the music can be quite haunting. Actually, speaking of the music, that’s why we’re here! Currently out for free download is a two disc set of music inspired by and in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Metroid series called Harmony of a Hunter. The compilation features 36 tracks put together by 24 different musicians. The different styles range from electronica and ambient to dubstep to metal. All in all, it sounds awesome and I highly recommend it for fans of the series or just the everyday casual listener.
The lovely people over at Scion have released another free compilation for all the lovely interested folk. If you want a breakdown of each of the artists and their track, you can read all about it here. I snagged it, but that’s because of two reasons: 1) I can’t pass up anything free. In fact, I downloaded it twice just to spite the man. 2) I’m actually in an airport right now about to head to New York, so the coincidence was too perfect to not jump on.

Okay, my friend Audrey turned me on to this band Yeasayer by shooting me over the below video. First thought as I’m watching it is when did Belial from Basket Case get a career in music videos? Also, Kristen Bell? How confusing and yet appropriate…
