[TV] “Hannibal” Finds Yet Another Victim

Gina Torres (Matrix Reloaded, “Serenity”, “The Vampire Diaries”) is joining NBC’s contemporary Hannibal Lecter series, “Hannibal,” as the wife of Laurence Fishburne’s G-Man Jack Crawford, TVLine reports.

Like “Hannibal”‘s Caroline Dhavernas, Molly Shannon, Chelan Simons and Ellen Greene, Torres previously worked with “Hannibal” exec producer Bryan Fuller: She played beautiful grifter Lila Robinson in Fuller’s “Pushing Daisies.”

“Hannibal,” which is based on characters from Thomas Harris’ “Red Dragon,” centers on the budding relationship between FBI agent Will Graham (played by Hugh Dancy) and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship. It’s slated to bow at midseason.

[OMFG] Watch Audrey II Destroy NY In Alternate ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Ending!!!!

The Blu-ray edition of Little Shop of Horrors, out Tuesday from Warner Bros., includes a 20-minute long director’s cut ending alongside the theatrical release. The new footage features a dark, tragic ending to the classic man buys plant, plant eats people, man gets famous tale.

In this new/old version Audrey and Seymour are both devoured by a hungry Audrey II, who lives out his dream of taking over the world, destroying New York City in a sequence that looks like the Stay Puft’s attack in Ghostbusters! EW scored an exclusive clip of the mind blowing carnage that has propelled this classic into one of my new all-time favorites (seriously, it’s INSANE!).

Starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, James Belushi, John Candy and Bill Murray, “A nerdish florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed.

Other extras on the all new transfer include: A featurette, commentary with director Frank Oz and a rash of deleted scenes. READ MORE

With a date still to be set, Netflix has unveiled the artwork for their original series Hemlock Grove, from Hotel and Cabin Fever director Eli Roth. The show, “Revolves around the murder of a young girl found close to the former Godfrey steel mill. The suspects in her killing include Peter (Landon Liboiron), a 17-year-old Gypsy kid from the wrong side of the tracks, and Roman (Skarsgard), the arrogant Godfrey Scion, whose sister Shelley is disturbingly deformed and whose mother, Olivia (Janssen), is the beautiful and controlling grand dame of Hemlock Grove.” Dougray Scott, Famke Janssen, Landon Liboiron and Bill Skarsgard all star.

TVLine adds that Ellen Greene (pictured), who played one of Chuck’s shut-in aunts on Bryan Fuller‘s “Pushing Daisies,” is reuniting with the show’s creator on his new gig “Hannibal.” Greene will take on the recurring role of Mrs. Komeda, a novelist and member of Boston’s cultural elite. She’s also a pal of the titular cannibal, Dr. Lecter (played by Casino Royale‘s Mads Mikkelsen) which should protect her from becoming his lunch. She’s best known for playing Audrey in the big-screen adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors. READ MORE
