UK metalcore band Asking Alexandria has released an official music video for their track “Killing You”, which comes from their latest album From Death To Destiny. The video, which is directed by Frankie Nasso, shows a woman go to an mysterious party where she realizes very quickly that she and many others are there for a sick sexual ritual involving torture and perversions. An uncensored version will be released in the coming weeks.
Asking Alexandria is currently on tour with Emmure, All That Remains, Sevendust, and For Today. All dates can be found below. READ MORE

If there is any frontman that seems to draw controversy like a magnet, it’s Emmure‘s Frankie Palmeri. The man pulls in it like it’s his job (which some may argue it is). That’s why I was so interested in sitting down with Palmeri at the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. We discussed the status of a new album (which will follow up 2012′s Slave To The Game), Palmeri’s electrocution incident, and the fact that many people label him as “racist” and “homophobic”. You can see his responses in our exclusive video interview below!

Bay Area electro rockers Death Valley High have released a slasher-themed music video for “How2Kill”. Directed by Kevin Lee Loader of Guerrilla Wanderers (who created videos for Mudvayne, Emmure, and Brian “Head” Welch), the video tells the tale of a boy, the black sheep of his family, who ends up being the savior when monsters begin picking off his parents and siblings one by one. Full of gore and some pretty awesome practical FX (the knife in the head is quite fun), it’s definitely worth checking out.
“How2Kill” comes from the band’s new release Positive Euth, which you can snag on iTunes. READ MORE
Metal band Emmure was forced to cancel their show in Moscow, Russia yesterday after singer Frank Palmeri was electrocuted on stage. Guitarist Mike Mulholland took to Twitter after the show to state that the stage was unsafe and the band would be unable to continue. He proclaimed that the band would be back.
After the incident, Palmeri took to his own Twitter account to state that he almost died on stage after 200 volts coursed through his body.
Footage of the incident, as well as all tweets, can be seen below. READ MORE
Some people think of the crazies things. Most of the time, they just hold onto those thoughts and laugh about what would happen if they actually did it. Then they just go about their lives and that’s that. Then there are people who actually DO crazy things. Why? A better question might be why not?
YouTube user MarvAttaxx is one of those doers. He’s the guy who takes an idea and makes it happen. For example, let’s take a look at how he took a push broom and turned it into a one-string guitar capable of playing Meshuggah‘s “Rational Gaze” or Emmure‘s “Words Of Intulo”. The project involved some haphazard woodworking and MacGyver-ing for the pickup but the end result is a damn impressive broom that sounds rather mean, rather gnarly, and surprisingly awesome. Head on below to give it a listen! READ MORE
The sixth annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival lineup has been unveiled and I’m already beginning to lose my mind! The festival will be headlined by shock rocker/horror director Rob Zombie along with Five Finger Death Punch and will also see performances from Children Of Bodom, Machine Head, Behemoth, Job For A Cowboy, and many more.
Personally I’m very excited to see Rob Zombie again as well as get a first chance to see Behemoth, Amon Amarth, and Battlecross.
Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday at 12pm local time. The full 26-date trek and lineup can be seen below.
Also below is a FFDP tour reel that features new music from the band’s upcoming summer release. The video features samples of the band’s new song “Here To Die”. READ MORE

The tour will begin Jan. 8th, 2013 in Knoxville, TN and will end Feb. 11th in New York City, NY. The full touring schedule can be seen below.
Vocalist Trevor Phipps says, “John “Slo” Maggard will unfortunately be sitting out the Brothers of Brutality Tour (Whitechapel, Emmure, Obey the Brave, The Plot In You) this coming January/February. His absence is simply to take care of personal matters at home and is only temporary. Slo will remain a member of Unearth moving forward and is actively involved in the writing process for our next album, which we plan to record and release some time in 2013.
“Luckily, our long time friend Matt DeVries (Fear Factory, ex-Chimaira) will be taking over bass duties for the tour.”
DeVries added, “I couldn’t be more excited to be filling in on bass for my long time friends in Unearth on the upcoming Brothers Of Brutality Tour. They are like family to me and I’m extremely happy to step up to the plate for my good buddy Slo! READ MORE

Guitarist Zoltan Bathory (interview) explains, “Through support and awareness, suicide can be prevented. Five Finger Death Punch is promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to build awareness that there is support out there for those in need through the Lifeline’s service, and others. This is an important initiative we have taken on to place it on the consciousness of the public that you are not alone when in need.”
The band will also be embarking on the Trespass America tour with Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Pop Evil, Emmure, God Forbid, and Battlecross. One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to provide for the National Suicide Hotline crisis call centers. Tour dates are below. READ MORE
Battlecross, God Forbid, Emmure, Trivium, Pop Evil, Killswitch Engage, Five Finger Death Punch. That is quite an impressive lineup for the inaugural year of the Trespass America music festival! Sponsored by Metal Hammer magazine, the tour will start in mid July and run through until the end of August, hitting many of the major spots while still stopping by a few of the more “out of the way” destinations.
Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory states, “We will carry the flag into mainstream territory; we will trespass on their turf all across America. The combined power of Metal Hammer and all these bands enable us to make a statement, a really loud one. Heavy music wants its place back in the limelight, so get ready, because we are coming, and we are coming in numbers.”

I dont care what anyone says, if you’ve just been broken up with, you are not a happy person. And pretty much nothing about you is happy for the next few weeks, or months, or (hopefully not) years. First things first, let’s listen to some good ole’ break-up jams. Then we’ll get back to the sobbing, bitching, and late night text messages. Try to keep it together while I list my top 10 post-break-up songs. READ MORE

The kind gentlemen of metal band Emmure were gracious enough to send me their Top Ten Horror Movie list. A few movies were in here that I’ve never seen mentioned before and needless to say I was very happy with their picks. Their new album “Speaker Of The Dead” will be in stores February 15 on Victory Records. You can pre-order the album HERE.

Los Angeles based The Ghost Inside are readying their new album The Returners for a June 8th release on Mediaskare Records. Returners boasts the band’s most developed and anthemic material yet, guaranteed to set off fist pumping and sing-alongs at any show. The new album also features guest vocals from Brendan Foley of Betrayal, Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant and Mat Bruso (ex Bury Your Dead). Speaking on the spots vocalist Jonathan Vigil revealed “Well, were good friends with the band Betrayal and we all really like Brendan’s voice and we asked him and he was down to do it. Basically, it’s the same thing with Tommy from Sleeping Giant, except we specifically wanted him for the song “The Conflict” because of what the song is about and how it deals with the two sides of Christianity in the hardcore scene. Lastly, Shane (Frisby) who produced our record is really good friends with Mat Bruso and he called in a favor. Mat poured Coca-Cola all over himself in the vocal booth. It was awesome.” READ MORE
