Twin Terror Brings ‘Envy’ to Supernatural World

Independent financier and production company Kerry Kimmel and Pollack has teamed with Eric Thompson’s Vigilante Entertainment to acquire feature film and TV rights to Gregg Olsen‘s young adult series Empty Coffin, reports Variety.

KK&P and Vigilante will co-finance and co-produce the first title in the series, “Envy,” “a paranormal thriller that follows twin sisters Hayley and Taylor Ryan as they try to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of their friend. The girls use their talents to solve the crime and in the process, uncover the origin of their own powers.

KK&P’s CEO Michael Pollack and prexy Mark Morgan (“The Twilight Saga”) will produce with Eric Thompson, Brett Hudson and Kami Garcia.

The material is sharp, funny and eerie,” said Thompson, who just produced the indie horror pic Rites of Spring. “It’s edgy with protagonists who are modern day teen sleuths with a big family secret.

Production is skedded to start in fall 2012. READ MORE

Exclusive Interview: Tetsuya Fukagawa Of Envy

A couple weeks ago I got to interview Japanese post-hardcore band Envy. Words can’t describe how humbling the experience was but it was definitely a special moment for me. Envy for me has been a very influential band for me and for many bands they would have to have to agree as well. This marked Envy’s third time coming to the U.S. in twenty years in support of their new album “Recitation”, and with the opening bands on this tour it should definitely be their most memorable. In my interview I found out Envy doesn’t do interviews often which made the experience even more humbling.
