Grand Rapids, MI hard rock band Pop Evil have released a stream of their new single “Trenches”, which comes from their upcoming fourth studio album Onxy (out May 14th via eOne).
Singer Leigh Kakaty comments, “It’s about our battles. Not focusing on the things we can’t control, if we really want to be a band that stands the test of time we have to write the music that connects. We have to dig our way out of the trenches.”

Another horror sale has come in from Sundance, this time it’s Stake Land director Jim Mickle’s We Are What We Are (review here). It’s a remake of Mexican director Jorge Michel Grau’s picture about a family of cannibals that’s been moved from its original setting of Mexico City, to a poor part of the Catskills region in New York State.
eOne picked up the film, which was reportedly heatedly contested amongst bidders, for a low seven figures for the U.S. rights. eOne will role out the film to theaters in a platform formation.
In the film, “A devastating storm washes up clues that lead authorities closer and closer to the cannibalistic Parker family.” Cast includes Bill Sage, Ambyr Childers, Julia Garner, Michael Parks, Wyatt Russell and Kelly McGillis.
We’ll keep you posted on a release date!
A few days ago, we posted a teaser video for the new Kittie We Are The Lamb video. Promising zombies, gore, violence and metal, it was enough to get my attention piqued. Today brings the release of that video and it was definitely worth the few days of anticipation! Full of elements from Evil Dead and South Park (I wonder if the worcestershire sauce had anything to do with it…), this video is cheeky and a great nod to horror fans. Check it out after the jump and let me know your thoughts!

Kittie recently released a video for Empires (Part Two) but are definitely not content to sit on their laurels. With the impending release of I’ve Failed You (out Aug. 30th), the all-female group has released a teaser video for the upcoming video for We Are The Lamb. Just from the short clip, it’s obvious that this is aimed at horror fans and is full of zombies and gore. I’m all for it!

With the newly released The Age Of Hell out and available, Chimaira is looking to hit the road and face f*ck you with a brutal metal assault. The tour is made that much more intense with the confirmation that the support will come from Revocation, Rise to Remain, and Impending Doom. Tour dates are after the jump.

The ever sexy yet always terrifying Kittie have released a video for Empires (Part Two), which comes off their upcoming new album I’ve Failed You. The video is one of two videos that were shot with David Brodsky (Whitechapel, As I Lay Dying, In This Moment, The Red Chord), so I’ll be keeping an eye out for the second one to post when it comes out!

Check out the video after the jump and you’ll also find the remaining Summer Slaughter tour dates, which Darkest Hour is currently on. What a treat! READ MORE
Ohio metal band Chimaira have released a video for Year of the Snake, which comes off their upcoming album The Age Of Hell. It’s a pretty awesome song and the video has some cool moments (when the microphone swings in front of the camera, it almost looks 3D), but I have a feeling that the album as a whole will be much more kickass.

Chimaira‘s new album, The Age Of Hell, will be coming out August 16th and the band wants you to hear a little sample in a just-released teaser video (after the jump). On top of that, you can pre-order the album on iTunes OR get a super sweet package by ordering from HERE.
