The thriller revolves around a young woman named Jill (Seyfried) who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe Jill, who knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, she sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

Hoping to clear my memory of this hideous poster, I’m staring intensely at Amanda Seyfried in the first two official images from Summit Entertainment’s Gone, their thriller in theaters February 24. They’re still pretty boring. Seyfried is the sole reason I still want to see this (who says star power is dead?) From the so-so trailer to these hum-ho stills, I think it’s safe to assume that we should be mildly “alarmed”.
