Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, And More To Take Over Carolina Rebellion

The Carolina Rebellion music festival will be headlined this year by Alice In Chains on May 4th and Soundgarden on May 5th. Other acts include Deftones, Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, Volbeat, and many more. The event will take place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

“After wrapping up our last U.S. tour, we were planning on recharging our batteries for awhile, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play with the mighty Soundgarden in what will be one of the only shows we’ll play in the U.S. this year,” says Tim Mcllrath of Rise Against.

Michael Poulsen of Volbeat comments, “In Europe and the U.S., we have enjoyed the experiences that come from being a part of the festival environment, just as the fans do. Looking forward to Carolina Rebellion!”

Escape The Fate wants their music video for Gorgeous Nightmare, which comes off their third, self-titled album, to come out. However, you fans have to help unlock it! The video will have a very strong theme surrounding the Seven Deadly Sins and you know how well that fits in with Bloody-Disgusting. Escape The Fate are releasing the ‘Issues Remix EP’ today, which has some of the industries big names remixing ‘Issues’, the single from ETF’s self-titled debut album. Fans of the song can also try their hand at remixing ‘Issues’ for a chance to win $1,000 and for their song to appear on ETF’s official website.

Escape The Fate will also be headlining the Dead Masquerade Tour, which features opening acts Alesana, Motionless In White, Get Scared, and Drive A. Tour dates are after the jump.

Bloody-Disgusting has scored some exclusive Behind-the-Scenes photos for the upcoming Motionless In White music video, ‘Abigail’ (lyric video below). Coming off their latest album, ‘Creatures‘, and directed by Kevin McVey (Aiden, Collide, Cary Brothers), the video is scheduled to come out the week before Christmas.

Motionless In White (song premiere here) will also be heading out on The Dead Masquerade Tour, which starts January 20th, as a supporting act for Escape The Fate. Alesana, Get Scared, and Drive A (contest here) round out the touring bill.

So, Bloody Disgusting has a contest to win a guitar from Job For A Cowboy going right now, but some of you aren’t into that whole deathcore/metal thing. We’ve also got a contest where you can win a pair of tickets to see Slash and Ozzy at the tour stop of your choice, but again, some of you aren’t into the hard rock/heavy metal scene. So, for the punk rockers out there, we’ve got a new contest for you! Celebrate the Holiday season with punk rock group DRIVE A! The band is throwing together a Holiday bundle for their fans and are teaming up with Bloody-Disgusting to offer one to you! Drive A will be hitting the road in the new year with Escape The Fate, and then jumping on another tour with Hollywood Undead. Also be on the lookout for their sophomore album, which is expected to drop early 2011.

Motionless In White (exclusive track premiere here) have confirmed one hell of a touring schedule starting in 2011. Here are some words from singer Chris Motionless:

“I’m a big fan of horror movies from the ’80s and the early ’90s,” exclaims Escape the Fate bassist Max Green. “I like old school horror movies because they were actually ‘horror’ movies. People died, and it got brutal. There was slashing, gashing, blood and guts. It was genuinely some fucked-up shit!”

Max’s brand new album, Escape the Fate (DGC/Interscope), could be the soundtrack to some film with a lot of “fucked-up shit.” In fact, this epic offering sits somewhere between the thrash violence of early Metallica, anthemic grunge and Danny Elfman-style Nightmare Before Christmas bombast. Hard rock fans everywhere rejoice!

Max talked to Bloody-Disgusting.com contributor and Dolor author Rick Florino about his favorite horror flicks for this exclusive feature.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive audio interview with Black Tide bassist Zakk Sandler. We spoke about how the tour with Bullet For My Valentine and Escape The Fate was going, horror movie remakes, and the new album. Black Tide just finished recording their follow-up album to 2008′s ‘Light From Above’. Bloody-Disgusting has scored an exclusive clip of Black Tide making sure they stay in shape whilst recording their new album (name TBA). Check it out after the jump for some laughs as well as a few tips on what you can do to keep in shape.

Black Tide are currently in the studio with renowned producers GGGarth (Atreyu, Chevelle, Mudvayne) and Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God) recording the follow up to their 2008 critically acclaimed debut, Light From Above. This clip features producers GGGarth and Josh Wilbur challenging each other in a workout. The clip also features a brief segment of the new song “Ashes”.

“Honest Eyes” is featured on Black Tide’s upcoming split-single, along with “Bury Me”. The two new tracks will be released 9/21.
