Remember that Radiohead video for House of Cards? You know, the one that was shot with no cameras or lights, just lasers and a fancy system to pick it all up? Well, Evile have released a video for Cult, which comes off their upcoming album Five Serpent’s Teeth, and it’s, in my opinion, a much cooler take on this idea.
Evile Guitarist Ol Drake decided that Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way just wasn’t heavy enough. And given that Lady Gaga has a serious love of Judas Priest, Ol Drake decided to do a metal cover that had a very Priest-y style. Check it out below and enjoy!
Evile, the band responsible for one of the hardest tracks in Rock Band history, are entering the studio this weekend to record their third album. The band will again be working with producer Russ Russel (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir). All of that aside, have any of you beaten ‘Thrasher’??? That song is ridiculous!
Earache records have announced the release of ‘Extreme Stage Diving’, a FREE game for iPhone and iPod Touch that features ten full-length blistering metal tracks for you to beat the ever living crap out of those damn stage divers. Last year EVILE recorded a cover of “Cemetary Gates” for Metal Hammer’s Dimebag Darrel tribute album, and now you can grab it exclusively on iTunes.
Guitaris Ol Drake commented “Finally, people who don’t have the amazing Dimebag tribute issue, put out by Metal Hammer, can now download our cover of ‘Cemetery Gates’ on iTunes. Not only that, but you can also get the Japanese version of ‘Time No More’, only recently available on the Japanese release of ‘Infected Nations’.
