The best vampire love story on the market comes to an intense conclusion in the final chapter of the five part story arc of Tim Seeley’s Ex Sanguine. This story is flirted with a new type of vampire mythology and loaded with themes of forbidden love. Though this may seem a tad similar so many garbage pop culture vampire stories, it is anything but. It takes a lot of guts and creativity on Tim Seeley’s part to take a very taboo topic and make it into something that reflects well on the horror genre. READ MORE

Ex Sanguine is a splendid little tale of vampire love mixed in with a serial killer and shocking amounts of gore. Romances don’t tend to find their way onto Bloody-Disgusting, lovey dovey bullshit doesn’t usually make its way into the horror genre (at least the horror we favor). There are exceptions to every rule however, and Tim Seeley has proven this by weaving the tale of love story between an ancient vampire and a young serial killer. Ex-Sanguine has captivated me from the get go with its fast paced story, fantastic art, and of course, its blood soaked romance. READ MORE

Tim Seeley has made it his mission to explore the world of horror for the past decade. Seeley is best known for creating “Hack/Slash” and unleashing sexy horror vixen Cassie Hack into the comics world. In addition to “Hack/Slash”, Seeley is currently in the midst of writing a run on “Witchblade” for Top Cow and has just launched “Revival” through Image with studio partner Mike Norton (“Battle Pug”).

Never one to rest, Seeley is launching his new vampire series Ex Sanguine through Dark Horse this October. “Ex Sanguine” is the story of a vampire whose bloodlust reawakend by a series of gruesome serial killings in his town. “Ex Sanguine” promises hard-hitting psychological horror that is one part Buffy and one part Natural Born Killers.

Just in time for Halloween, Dark Horse is delivering the horror with a brand new series from the twisted mind responsible for “Hack/Slash”. Tim Seeley will be handling both the writing and the artwork for his new series, Ex Sanguine, which is being described as “Buffy and Angel meet Natural Born Killers”.

The series follows the Sanguine Killer, a brutal serial killer with no limits, and a lethargic, old-time vampire who becomes fascinate with the killer’s detailed work. “Ex Sanguine” looks to be a graphic new horror story set for release on October 17th, 2012.
