Fear 3 Is Out, Let The Horror Begin

Today is a good day. Why? Shadows Of The Damned came out, and Fear 3 as well. Horror fans are going to have a busy week. Fear 3 is out on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360, and for those who don’t already know, it’s going to focus much on the 2 player co-op campaign. The game revolves around 2 brothers, Point Man and Paxton Fettel. The brothers are the spawns of their currently pregnant (potentially with a demon baby?) mother Alma.

I must admit, I’ve not been the biggest fan of the FEAR series thus far. Also, I have been a little confused as far as the Pointman and Fettel characters are concerned in Fear 3. But the video below definitely helped me clear up all that jazz. So if you have also been a little lost check it out.

OMFG Of The Day: Amazon To Release ‘F.E.A.R 3′ Comic Written By Steve Niles With Pre-Orders!

It is no secret that “F.E.A.R” is one of the most popular horror franchises currently running in the world of video games, and with that said it should come as no shock that the release of the franchises’ third installment is one of the most hotly anticipated of 2011. Adding to the hype this week, Amazon.com announced that they will be releasing a prequel comic written by Steve Niles (“30 DAYS OF NIGHT”, “MYSTERY SOCIETY”) that will be available exclusively to those that pre-order the game through their website. The book will serve as connective tissue between the events of the new comic series on its way from Day 1 Studios and the events of the first game. Sweetening the deal, Amazon is also offering $20s back to whoever purchases the game, which will be available to them for any future purchase! Views tell me everything. If I post news about a game and nobody looks at it, I get the assumption nobody likes it, or no one is into it. As far as the Fear series goes, it’s a fairly big and popular game. I mean, they cranked out 2 sequels fairly quick since the originals release in 2005. But you just aren’t giving it the time of day.

So that makes me wonder, do you like the series, hate it, meh it? Tell me, I’m curious. Also, the story trailer above will give you some insight on the fucked up family that is Alma and her two sons, Point Man and Paxton Fettel. Fear 3 this May on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. READ MORE

What Do F.E.A.R. 3 And Julius Caesar Have In Common?

Well, that would be today. March 15th. The same day that Caesar was betrayed by his friends and his brother Brutus. And not just betrayed, but murdered as well. In the video below (which the press release was VERY specific about age gating. Even though the video isn’t really bad like some others I’ve seen. So go ahead and read this yourself.) brothers Paxton Fettel and Point Man talk about their killing, sort of. The previous Fear games were scary no doubt. But this trailer for Fear 3, this makes me think the 3rd game in the series will be the scariest. Why? Well, Alma is pregnant. Which is only opening up more insane doors and possibilities for more Fear games. And on top of that, not only do you have crazy bitch Alma to deal with, but her insane demon seed baby as well.

In the 1st 2 Fear games, we only really got small glimpses into Alma’s mind. But as she gets closer and closer to giving birth, she starts losing it and you become engulfed in her insane world. Check out screens and more game info past the break. READ MORE

I’m starting to think maybe Fear 3 is going to be a live action movie. Check out this new trailer below. All live action. Why? Why would you do this to us? I don’t like it. I want game play. What are you hiding? If you want to make a live action movie make a live action movie then. Keep Uwe Bowl away from it.

Officially announced from Warner Brothers today is Fear 3, or otherwise known as F.3.A.R. (Pronounced Fear 3.) Stupid. The game is already looking at an autumn 2010 release, but that will almost certain be pushed back.

It’s good to be a horror fan, or what I like to affectionately refer to as Thrill Enthusiasts. Someone might hear that term for the first time and think of something else, since at first a Thrill Enthusiast sounds like someone who enjoys getting their crazy on by tempting death through various scenarios like skydiving, spelunking, or base jumping. They would be incorrect in that assumption, unless you’re the rare type of individual who enjoys horror media and terrifying, Oh-God-Please-Please-Don’t-Fail-Mr.-Parachute activities. If you happen to fall under the latter category I commend you sir (or ma’am), as you are a borderline superhero.
