Just when you thought you spent enough money on Fallout 3, Bethesda goes ahead and announces 2 more DLCs. ALSO, finally for the PS3 they will be releasing all the DLCs. Operation: Anchorage will be released for PS3 in late June, followed by the release of The Pitt and Broken Steel 4-6 weeks apart. Release dates will be forthcoming.
In addition, a new update will be released for PS3 that will allow users to download and play the new DLC. The release date for that update will be announced at a later date. Read on for info about the new DLC. READ MORE

Broken Steel will be released May 5th. What really makes Broken Steel stand out from the previous 2 DLC’s for Fallout 3, is that it gives you the opportunity to change the way the game ends. You can order your companions to input the code at the end of the game, which wont make sense unless you have beaten it.
You can also bring Dogmeat back to life if he dies. Which I love cause I use the hell out of that dog. It is recommended that you beat the game 1st before you play Broken Steel. The level cap of 20 is raised to 30 in this DLC as well. READ MORE

The Pitt DLC was supposed to be released this month sometime but was pushed back a month to March. The 3rd DLC known as “Broken Steel”, which was originally looking at a March release is pushed back till April. If they need more time to make these DLCs amazing, then they surely have my approval. For those hardcore Fallout 3 players, you’re going to be happy about this news. Destructoid put up some excellent news today about Fallout 3, 1st of which is the 1st DLC will be released January 27th, for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox live. You can also download it on Games For Windows for the PC version. There is no DLC coming out for the Playstation 3. I searched a bit to no avail, there are no reasons given for the PS3 getting shafted on the DLC. Check out Destructoids post HERE.
The patch is out today (Tuesday the 13th.) Here is was the patch fixes, and this is for all 3 platforms.

* Friends notification no longer causes the game to pause. (Playstation 3)
* Fixed occasional crashes during loading and waiting.
* Friendly or neutral NPC health bars, when taking damage, no longer flicker repeatedly.
* Fixed issue where certain NPCs would occasionally disappear from the game.
* Fixed issue where dead NPCs would occasionally come back to life.
* Fixed rendering issue with the Gatling Laser gun’s tracers.
* Fixed issue where the haircut menu would occasionally not appear properly.
* Added ability to remap your VATS and pip boy buttons.
* Fixed rare load/save issues that would cause NPCs to behave incorrectly.
* Fixed issue where quest objectives would occasionally not update properly due to talking activators, intercoms and conversations.
* Using Radaway from the Pip-Boy’s Status Menu repeatedly no longer crashes the game.
* Player no longer gets stuck in level up menu if their skills are maxed out.
* Fixed issue where multiple followers would occasionally not load into an interior.
* Fixed rare issue with getting stuck in VATS mode.

Though it may be cliche’ to say, “well oh gee, I never though 2008 would be as good as 2007 for horror games” bla bla bla, well it was. Yes last year BioShock demolished the competition, but with the amount of epically amazing games this year, I think the race will be a little less 1 sided.
Last year there was a little “confusion” on what a “horror” game entails. Well, the games on this list are that that would reflect anything horror, sci-fi, bloody and or disgusting, gorey, thrillerish, creepy, aliens, ghosts, zombies, vampires, plain old really weird stuff, stuff that is outside of “normal”, there are no Marios in this list, no Call Of Dutys, these are the games people cringe at. The games some people are too scared to play. The games parents don’t want their kids playing. The games that we love here on BD.

Just woke up from my turkey induced coma. In more important news, Bethesda, creators of Fallout 3 will be releasing a bit of downloadable content and to top it off a creation kit. What does that mean for you? Let me break it down.
The editor will be called The Garden of Eden Creation Kit, for short, G.E.C.K. I do dig the poetic irony of calling it the “Garden of Eden” creation kit, seeing as you spend the game in a completely destroyed world. The kit will allow those who have Fallout 3 for Windows, to create their own content to add to the game. What exactly does that mean? G.E.C.K. will allow you to basically do whatever the hell you want with the game. Create, modify, and edit any of the games data, you can make characters, weapons, landscapes, buildings, anything! You’ll be able to download the creation kit sometime this month. READ MORE
Somewhere in the range of 4.7 million units of Fallout 3 were shipped worldwide for the release, on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows, which comes out to more than 300 million dollars. That’s more than most movies ever see upon release in theaters! The game has been getting perfect if not almost perfect reviews across the board. Now that was just for the release of the game, through out the months to come they are sure to rack up more and more sales numbers.
Fallout 3 has been on over 100 magazine covers around the planet and is available in eight languages. The game is out in Japan on December 4th, and is looking to gain a decent number of sales from there. “Fallout 3 features one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Set more than 200 years following a nuclear war, you can create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C. however you choose. Fallout 3 is coming out the end of this month, just 3 short days before Halloween, giving you a few days to play before you dress up and go trick or treating pretending you’re still young enough.
