Two New Spots For ‘Resident Evil: Retribution 3D’ Contain The Whispy Vapors Of New Footage

In theaters September 14, Sony Screen Gems has issued two new TV spots for the Paul W.S. Anderson-directed Resident Evil: Retribution 3D, which also stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand and Li Bingbing.

They very much keep the tone that’s been established in prior trailers, but add some interesting new elements. Floods, Kevin Durand etc… I’ve been revisiting the series this week for an upcoming piece and I’m interested in how all of this will play out.

“The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. First Behind The Scenes Footage From The ‘Carrie’ Remake!!

Kimberly Peirce is officially behind the camera for Carrie, the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s coming-of-age novella. The MGM/Screen Gems stars Chloe Moretz (Kick Ass, Let Me in), Julianne Moore (Hannibal), Alex Russell (Chronicle), Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Judy Greer (The Descendants) and Portia Doubleday (Youth In Revolt).

Principal photography started last month Toronto, Ontario and some behind the scenes footage was just released that shows Peirce directing Moretz as Carrie. The footage gives us look at the popular girls of the high school emerging from the locker room during swim class and Carrie’s reaction to (and confrontation with) them. If anything, it’s a tiny glimpse into the dynamic at play between our heroine and her tormentors (one of them asks her to “wipe that smile off your face.”) Thanks to FreddyKrueger13 for the heads up.

In the film, “The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”

TV: Promo For Season Seven Of “Dexter” Contains A Ton Of New Clips!

The seventh season of “Dexter” premieres on September 30th at 8/9 CST. That means it’s actually a little early to start seeing footage of any kind – but Showtime has heard your cries and has decided to assuage them! There’s a lot of new footage clips in the promo below – it’s just too bad they don’t last very long! Get ready to screengrab, I guess.

The upcoming season will trace the fallout from Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) finding out that Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is actually the Bay Harbor Butcher (and icky love interest). Yvonne Strahovski, Katia Winter, Jason Gedrick and Ray Stevenson are all joining the cast for arcs this year.

Twentieth Century Fox brought Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter 3D, their horror historical retelling from Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, to Wondercon today and now there’s a new trailer on the web!

This one continues the ass-kicking, more serious than you’d expect, epic vibe of the first trailer while expanding the scope significantly. My only complaint? Not nearly enough Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

In theaters June 22, “Seth Grahame-Smith’s revision of a Jane Austen classic explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln (Walker) witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.”

Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk all star.
