Serbian melodic metal band Destiny Potato have released a new song entitled “Love Song”, which comes from their upcoming debut album Lun. The song is available for free download on a new Century Media Records sampler album, which also includes free music from such artists as In Flames, Devin Townsend, Jolly, In This Moment, Lacuna Coil, Fozzy, and more. The download is 100% free and features some really great bands, including Destiny Potato, who I’m keeping a close eye on. Fozzy, the hard rock group fronted by WWE superstar Chris Jericho, has released a new song entitled “Sandpaper” on Revolver. The song, which features Avenged Sevenfold‘s M. Shadows, comes from their upcoming album Sin And Bones (out Aug. 14th).

Initial tour dates for the third annual Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival have been locked down. The tour, which will be headlined by Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, and Adelita’s Way, will begin Aug. 17th in Kansas City and culminate Sept. 30th in Albuquerque. The supporting acts are P.O.D., Deuce, Fozzy, Redlight King, Mindset Evolution, In This Moment, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Candlelight Red. Tickets will go on sale this Friday and will range from $15 to $75. You can find more about ticket information at the official website.

I went to Uproar last year and had quite a blast, so I highly recommend snagging some tickets and checking out the festival. Admittedly, the lineup last year was much more solid but seeing Godsmack and Staind would be pretty awesome. READ MORE

After Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater and a different drummer was selected for Avenged Sevenfold, many people were wondering what was in the future for the renowned drummer. Well, people didn’t have to wait long as Adrenaline Mob was announced. Comprised of Mike on drums with Russ Allen (Symphony X) on vocals, Mike Orlando (Sonic Stomp) and Rich Ward (Stuck Mojo, Fozzy) on guitars, with Paul DiLeo on bass, the five piece is bringing some hard rock/metal to the music scene.

Personally, I think it brings nothing new to the table but still sounds solid. I’d give it a few listens and then put it aside while I wait patiently for a full release.
