Fanboys Vs. Zombies has been consistently been filled with hilarious, action-packed zombie killing month after month. Writer Shane Houghton and artist Jerry Gaylord found a clever way to explore geek culture inside the confines of the zombie apocalypse. ‘Fanboys Vs. Zombies’ is a lighthearted gore-fest that will delight horror lovers who can appreciate the dark comedic sensibilities of films like Army of Darkness, where the hero can throw a punch, tell a joke, and kiss the girl all in the same scene.
Digital comics distributor ComiXology has a giant sale on ‘Fanboys Vs. Zombies’ this weekend, with every issue of the series available for 0.99 cents. To celebrate the sale, BOOM Studios gave Bloody-Disgusting readers an exclusive free digital copy issue #1 as a gateway drug into the series.
Writer Shane Houghton caught up with Bloody-Disgusting to talk about where the book is headed, and why horror hounds should give this series a chance. Check out the interview with Shane and then read issue #1 for free after the jump. READ MORE

Titles below include “Metaphase”, “The Steam Engines of Oz”, “Aphrodite XI”, and a few more. Bleeding Cool for also has some free embedded books that are worth checking out. READ MORE

There is no catch. Whether you’ve been reading comics since you were in diapers, or you’ve never picked one up in your life, I urge you to head on down to your local shop and read some comics. Always a purveyor of free things, I found not only 1 free comic but 16. Playstation Network just launched a Digital Comics section for it’s Playstation Portable Console. If you go to there store you can check out a bunch of series in differenet genres. Check out their blog for more info. I downloaded a couple last night. I read “Aleister Arcane” from IDW and was pretty impressed in not only the comic itself but the way you navigate through the comic on the console and the whole presentation. Will you use this feature?
This week’s new releases had the finale to Dark Horse’s Werewolves on the Moon, but just in case you missed the whole series or you’re a cheap bastard, they have released issue one for free on their website. I was not too sure on the comic when I read it and I know Dubbs hated it…but maybe you’ll like it, the price sure is right.
On my random internet patrol I came across Berserker’s The Dead: Kingdom of Flies. If you have not read this great zombie comic, their website lets you download the first issue FREE. Kingdom of Flies has covers by amazing artist Glenn Fabry and the comic is done by Simon Bisley and Alan Grant, creators of Batman/Judge Dredd: judgment in Gotham, Lobo, Lobos back and Lobo paramilitary Christmas. Check it out, read the comic, buy the rest of the series, click HERE to go to the website and download. More info after the break…
