Earlier this week we teased a May release for Blair Witch director Eduardo Sanchez’s awesome Lovely Molly (review), which we’ve confirmed will open in limited theaters May 18 via Image Entertainment. Starring Gretchen Lodge, Johnny Lewis and Alexandra Holden, “When newlywed Molly Reynolds returns to her long-abandoned family home, frightful reminders of a nightmarish childhood begin seeping into her new life. She soon begins an inexorable descent into evil that blurs the lines between psychosis and possession.

In addition, Paramount Pictures has slated their Halloween comedy Fun Size for a holiday release on October 26 of this year. Late-Night Hands Out Candy in ‘Fun Size’

Late-night host and comedienne Chelsea Handler is in negotiations to join the cast of Fun Size, Paramount Picture’s teen comedy starring Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice, says THR. The pic is serving as the directorial debut of TV creator Josh Schwartz.

Handler will play the mother of a sarcastic teenage girl (Justice) who is forced to take her little brother trick-or-treating on Halloween, then loses him and must find him before their mother finds out.

Thomas Mann, Jane Levy, Thomas Middleditch, Thomas McDonell, Osric Chau, Jackson Nicoll, Johnny Knoxville, Ana Gasteyer, Josh Pence, Holmes Osborne, James Pumphrey, Willam Belli and Peter Navy Tuiasosopo also star, as we previously broke the news exclusively.

Colbert Report scribe Max Werner wrote the script. The project is shooting in and around Cleveland, Ohio.

BFF Jane Levy for a Night of Trick or Treating

Jane Levy is in talks for a key role in the Paramount teen comedy Fun Size, which will mark the feature directing debut of TV showrunner Josh Schwartz, writes THR.

Although no deal is in place yet, Levy is being eyed to play best friend to the movie’s lead character Victoria Justice.

Scripted by The Colbert Report’s Max Werner, “the Halloween-set tale follows a sarcastic teen, played by Justice, who take her little brother-trick-or-treating only to lose him along the way.

Levy has most recently appeared on Showtime’s “Shameless,” where she played Mandy Milkovich.

I know it’s barely genre, but a movie about a bunch of kids trick or treating always wins my love and affection.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters star Thomas Mann is in final negotiations to topline opposite Victoria Justice in Josh Schwartz’s comedy Fun Size, reports Variety.

Mann will play Roosevelt, the star of his school’s debate team who is in love with Justice’s character, Wren. The son of two gay women, he’s terrified of breaking the rules, but decides to throw caution to the wind and help Wren out when she needs him to help find her younger brother on Halloween.

Nickelodeon Star Beats Out Moretz for ‘Fun Size’

Paramount Pictures has offered Victoria Justice the lead role in Josh Schwartz’s upcoming Halloween-themed comedy Fun Size, reports Variety.

The star of the Nickelodeon show “Victorious” beat out the likes of Chloe Moretz and Jane Levy for the role. Schwartz will direct and produce through his Fake Empire shingle along with Anonymous Content.

Max Werner penned the script, which “revolves around a teen who is forced to take her brother out trick-or-treating, loses him along the way, and must find him before their mother finds out.

Expect this to be fully cast quickly.
