Call Of Duty: Black Ops II’s Multiplayer Leaves A Memorable Impression At Gamescom

Some would say Call Of Duty’s multiplayer has gotten stale. I would never say such a thing, because of the shear amount of people who play the damn game. Though if I were to make such a comment I would say Modern Warfare 3 just didn’t do it for me. Judging by what we have seen so far, and now what many of the top video game sites tell me in the video below I can’t wait to jump into Black Ops II. Obviously being set in the future for once a large amount of doors are open to awesome new vehicles, weapons, locations and more. Check out the Accolades Trailer below, and don’t forget the game is going up again Halo 4 releasing just one week after it on November 13th.

‘Until Dawn’ Aims To Bring A Little Angsty Teen Horror To Video Games

There’s a new horror game in the works, and in a sea of sequels and zombie games, this one aims to do something a little different. It’s called Until Dawn, and it follows seven teens who face unspecified horrors over the course of one terrifying night in the woods. Your goal is to keep them alive, and from the looks of it, that probably won’t be too easy a task. The only down side is it’s coming to the PlayStation Move. I’m not knocking its PS3 exclusivity, I’m just a little bummed we’ll have to put up with flailing our arms about to play the game. Hopefully it’ll be great, and if it’s debut trailer is anything to go by, it might just be. Check out its announcement trailer after the break.

Gamescom: This Dark Souls Trailer Is A Little Bossy

This new trailer, fresh from Gamescom, shows off a few of the bosses that’ll undoubtedly be tearing us to pieces when the game adds a much needed dose of dark fantasy fun to the world on October 4. I can’t help but look at the world they’ve created and wonder who came up with these fucking terrifying monsters. From the video games I’ve played and the horror movies I’ve seen, I’ve witnessed a fair share of monsters, but the ones in these games take the place. Like, if there was a beauty pageant for monsters, where they were judged based on quickly they made you soil yourself, the ones in these games would win.

I honestly think this series stands up and in many aspects surpasses the major players in the RPG genre, like the Elder Scrolls and Diablo series. The only thing that keeps it from gaining wider appeal is its incredibly unforgiving difficulty. I’ll admit I broke a controller while playing Demon’s Souls, and I never get that angry. When a game frustrates me I set down the controller and do something productive, like light some candles, lay down on my beanbag and fantasize about TJ. I hope that’s not weird. READ MORE

Gamescom: These New Downpour Screens Are Nice & Moist

These screensthots came to me in a dream. I was in a cave, wearing nothing but a pair of leather chaps and some Gucci sunglasses. Standing in front of me was Pyramid Head, and this is what he said, “My dear Adam, your butt looks mighty fine in those leather chaps, but alas, I fear my time is running out. I’ve come to you to deliver a fresh batch of screenshots that you must deliver to your legions of fans. Sadly, I will not be appearing in the next Silent Hill game, because I have prior engagements. You understand, don’t you?” Too which I replied, “Yes, my dear Pyramid Head, and might I say your ass looks delicious in that kilt made from human skin.” Then we laughed heartily and I woke up.

Gamescom: Resistance 3 Enters Gamescom And Is Not To Be Taken Light

As trilogies go on, they tend to fix mistakes the predecessors made, and kick more and more ass. Resistance 3 will do no less. With the aliens invading Chicago, it gives us all more of a reason to defend it. Well, maybe just those from the area, but it’s still going to be awesome. And the online multiplayer is looking quite excellent thus far. Check out the video below and more screens past the break.

Gamescom: Gears Of War 3 Chainsaws Gamescom

Gears Of War 3 is coming out next month, and as excited as I am I can’t help but feel sadness as the trilogy is coming to an end. What will become of the series? Will Epic pass it off as Bungie did with the Halo series? Will they start up a new set of Gears games, or will they stick a chainsaw in it and call it quits? I shake like Michael J Fox with worry, but I press on.
