‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ Trailers Burns Rubber!

Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures’ and Hyde Park Entertainment’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which arrives in a blazing flurry on February 17, 2012.

The first trailer just premiered and it’s going to ignite your excitement. Not only does it look like a major step up from the previous piece of crap, but Ghost Rider himself looks absolutely amazing. I really dig the charcoal look. It makes me want to go grill a burger or five.

In the successor to the worldwide hit ‘Ghost Rider,’ Johnny – still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy – and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

Directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Screenplay by Scott M. Gimple & Seth Hoffman and David S. Goyer.

‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ Gets A Poster

I never saw Ghost Rider. I will probably never see Ghost Rider. But will I see Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance 3D? F*ck yes!!!

SuperHeroHype have an exclusive debut of the poster for what will surely be one of the more absolutely nuts big-budget films to ever get a green light.

I haven’t seen the Comic-Con footage, but I’ve heard some pretty insane things from some pretty reliable people.

This may be one of those rare sequels, the kind where the original not doing particularly well emboldens the studio to actually make interesting choices instead of safe ones. The guys behind Crank set into the wild with millions of dollars and Nicolas Cage? Nicolas Cage with no one to hold him back? Should be interesting to say the least.

The trailer debuts tomorrow at 9AM PST, while Ghost Rider blazes into theaters on February 17.

Clean Look at First ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ Imagery

Clean images have been released from Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 3D which feature your first looks at Ghost Rider, Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba in Columbia Pictures’ sequel arriving in theaters February 17, 2012. I quite enjoy the “darker and grittier” approach the the flaming skull.

It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider.

Comic-Con ’11: ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance’ Press Conference

Nicolas Cage brought his signature craziness to the Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance press conference at the San Diego Comic-Con this afternoon. The actor talked cobras, compasses and the origin of the word weird and, erm, there was some Johnny Blaze stuff in there too.

Amid the kookiness, Cage did promise fans the second Ghost Rider film – directed by Crank duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor – is a departure from the lighter tone of the first and closer to the comic book series.

Nicolas Cage Talks “Wild” Filming Techniques for ‘Ghost Rider’ Sequel

While Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s Gamer was a horrible film, it was hard to ignore the “interesting” filming techniques from the directors of Crank. UKPA caught up with star Nicolas Cage on his Season of the Witch promotion tour where he talked a bit about working with the duo on the now-filming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 3D. Cage explains that Neveldine and Taylor will continue using their “wild” techniques: “The director’s on rollerblades and hanging from wires with the camera, holding on to the motorcycle and it’s going to be really wild.” The star also promised the sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, would be quite different from the first film. “(It’s going to be) very different. A completely new experience and that’s how the directors choose to see it. I mean there’s even a new origin sequence.” We’ll see just how different it is on February 17, 2012.

Ghost Rider

This is the story based on the comic book about a motorcycle stunt performer, Johnny Blaze, who agrees to become the host of a “spirit of vengeance” in exchange for the safety of his true love, but the price he pays is to be cursed with the avenging spirit that takes its form at night as a demon with a flaming skull on a motorcycle of hellfire.
