Ghost Rider’s cancellation should not come as a shocking surprise given that Marvel has been cracking down on all their femme-heroes as of late. The rumors spread out earlier this week and Rob Williams confirmed the news via Twitter yesterday afternoon. He was grateful to all his fans and had the following to say: “Sorry to confirm the news about Ghost Rider’s cancellation. It’s disappointing. To go along with the news late last week that publisher Marvel Comics would be adding new fuel to the fire of their iconic “GHOSTRIDER”, the publisher has just made the biggest announcement pertaining to the character in years — the beginning of an all new reoccurring monthly series! The all new “GHOSTRIDER” story will begin within the pages of issue 0.1 in June, and will then pick back up with issue #1 in July with writer Rob Williams (“DARK X-MEN: THE BEGINNING”). If Marvel Comics is going to be bringing fans a horror drenched blockbuster story-line for their big Summer push, one could have only assumed that “GHOSTRIDER” would play a pivotal role. Today the publisher revealed some details on just what that role will be with an all new teaser image for “HELL. ON WHEELS”.
