IFC Films will release Peter Strickland’s Berberian Sound Studio, starring Toby Jones and Tonia Sotiropoulou, on June 14th on various VOD Platforms. Mr. Disgusting hated this movie more than he normally hates things. But I’m still waiting to check it out, I like slow burn stuff like this so maybe I’ll disagree?
Acquired out of the fests by IFC Films, the pic is “Set in 1976: Gilderoy is hired to orchestrate the sound mix for the latest film by Italian horror maestro, Santini. As time and realities shift, Gilderoy is lost in a spiral of sonic and personal mayhem, and has to confront his own demons in order to stay afloat.”

Black Mask Studios has unveiled a new trailer for RZA, Ghostface Killah, & Adrian Younge’s 12 Reasons to Die, a horror-crime tale that will blend mediums for an original storytelling experience with a new album and comic book series (Details on the album here). The series meshes elements of vintage crime and Giallo horror.

I’m always slightly puzzled when an artist that has seemingly no relations to horror puts out a horror inspired video. Don’t get me wrong, I love it! The fans of this band get introduced to our beloved genre in a way that is more comfortable and safe for them, hopefully sparking interest in delving a bit further in with each day.
Anyways, coming back to my point, Keane has released a video for Disconnected which is a beautiful homage to the 70′s Italian Giallo films. There are definitely influences from Argento to Fulci to Bava here, so for you giallo fans, I definitely recommend checking this video out below! READ MORE
A federal judge has blocked the makers of a thriller film starring Adrien Brody from using the Oscar-winning actor’s likeness until he is fully paid for his role. U.S. District Judge Dale S. Fischer issued a ruling Monday blocking the makers of Giallo from continuing to distribute, market or sell Giallo in the United States. Brody sued last month before the film went on sale in the states, claiming he was owed $640,000 and its DVD release could cost him $2 million. More inside…
