Full Gigantour 2013 Lineup And Schedule Announced

Fans of Megadeth can look forward to seeing the band this summer on this year’s Gigantour. Support for the thrash metal legends will come from Black Label Society. Also on the tour will be Device, which features Disturbed singer David Draiman, Hellyeah, Newsted, and Death Division. All bands were personally picked by Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine.

This year’s power-packed lineup is probably the best Gigantour yet, and we’ve had some pretty massive Gigantours over the years. Gigantour 2013 brings four of my favorite bands, each centered around a superstar. With Zakk, David, Vinnie, and Jason there are going to be fans from Ozzy to Disturbed to Pantera to Metallica and everything that’s metal in-between! Don’t miss the metal festival of the summer!

[LOL] Woman Posts Ad On Craigslist Looking For Man Who Fathered Her Child At Megadeth Show

This is just too good of a story to not be shared. Apparently, a 28-year old woman attended the Chicago Gigantour show, which featured Megadeth, Motorhead, Lacuna Coil, and Volbeat. During the show, she encountered a strapping young lad and the two proceeded to engage in…shall we say illicit behavior in one of the bathroom stalls. Fast forward and she finds out she is pregnant and is trying to reach the father through the majestical land of Craigslist. I’m not joking. Read on for the full posting. READ MORE

Megadeth Resurrects Gigantour With Motorhead, Volbeat, And Lacuna Coil

Back in 2005, I was lucky enough to go and check out the first ever Gigantour, the here-and-there summer festival started by Megadeth. Needless to say, for the ticket price (I think it was something like $25), I definitely got my money’s worth. Now, Megadeth has announced that they are resurrecting the tour. However, some things have changed: First of all, it’s not going to be in the summer. Rather, the tour will start towards the end of January and run through early March. Second, there apparently won’t be a full day of music. Instead, only three other bands will be joining Megadeth on stage: Motorhead, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil. Tour dates have yet to be announced, so keep an eye on Megadeth.com.

I’m still very interested in checking out the show but it seems like this could’ve been called something else. Imagine if Ozzfest was Ozzy headlining with Black Label Society and Fear Factory attached on the tour and that was it. Nope, not the same. Not the same at all.
