[Premiere] Check Out The Creepy Music Video For Candlelight Red’s “Demons”

Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for Candlelight Red‘s song “Demons”, which comes off their latest EP Demons (iTunes). The video shows the band rocking out amidst fiery explosions and burst of debris interspersed with footage of a woman vomiting blood in heat signature filter (she looks mighty cold). Although I don’t think this video is NSFW, keep in mind that the woman, at points in the video, is covering her bare breasts with her hands. Just thought I should give a fair warning! Check out the video below!

Candlelight Red is currently on the Rockstar Energy Uproar festival alongside Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, and more. Check out tour dates at the official Uproar website. READ MORE

Papa Roach Forced To Leave Rockstar Uproar Festival Due To Surgery

Papa Roach have cancelled all remaining tour dates on the Rockstar Uproar festival due to singer Jacoby Shaddix being diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal chord. Doctors have advised Shaddix that he needs to undergo corrective surgery to remove the nodule to prevent further damage.

Shaddix explains, “It’s no secret that I’ve been having issues with my voice lately. I was hoping to be able to go out there and kill it on this tour by resting and doing vocal exercises, but my voice has just gone out on me. I hate to let our fans down, but unfortunately surgery is the only way to fix it. The last thing we want to do is give our fans less than 100% every night. We know they’ll understand and we’ll be back better than ever.

Starting Aug. 24th, the main stage acts of Godsmack, Staind, Shinedown, and Adelitas Way will have extended sets. READ MORE

Godsmack Forced To Cancel Remainder Of European Dates

Godsmack has been forced to cancel the vast majority of their European tour dates due to singer Sully Erna suffering from vocal issues. The tour was supposed to have 14 total dates but the band was only able to perform two (London and Dessel, Belgium). This was Godsmack’s first European tour in nearly nine years.

Sully stated, “Sorry Europe. Seems like we can’t catch a break there lately. London you were one of the best crowds we’ve played to in a very long time…. Belgium, you were awesome as well. As for the rest of you in Europe that we weren’t able to reach, I promise you we’ll be back!! For now it’s lots of rest and fluids for me until my vocal specialist clears me to sing again. My deepest apologies Europe! You’ll see us again. Thanks for your support and understanding.

As of now there is no word if this affects Godsmack’s co-headline status on the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival tour. I really hope that this is a small issue and Sully is back to 100% soon. READ MORE

[Review] Shannon Larkin Weighs In On ‘Exit Humanity’

Godsmack drummer and horror expert Shannon Larkin is back with another Bloody-Disgusting Selects review! This time he tackles the zombie period-flick Exit Humanity, which is now available on VOD, DVD, and iTunes. You can read his in-depth, kinda spoiler-ish review below.

Godsmack will be co-headlining the 2012 Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival this summer. Tour dates and ticket information can be found here.

Starring horror icons Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses), Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo), Stephen McHattie (Pontypool, The Watchmen, 300), and new horror hero Mark Gibson, Exit Humanity is a zombie saga that tells the tale of the ultimate battle of good vs. evil. Brian Cox provides narration.

How does a man deal with the loss of everything meaningful in his life, and the loss of mankind’s humanity amongst chaos and despair? Set in 1870’s Tennessee, Exit Humanity is the legend of Edward Young’s horrific and dramatic journey through an unexplainable outbreak of the walking dead to lay to rest the most important thing in his life, his son’s ashes. The bleak post-Civil War era backdrop highlights the severe divide that the United States was facing, and the true loss of hope that so many felt during this period in history.READ MORE

Chris’s Weekly Single Reviews Vol. 5

Review written by Chris Lockett

This last week saw the release of new music from some extremely heavy hitters. Inside you will find reviews for Soundgarden’s first brand new release since 1996’s “Down On The Upside”, Godsmack’s cover of Joe Walsh’ “Rocky Mountain Way”, a new song from P.O.D., the debut single from former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler’s new band (Adler), a new song from former Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch’s new band (Love and Death), as well as the latest release from My Darkest Days. Only one of the songs can be crowned as my pick for “Single Of The Week”, and surprisingly enough, it was a pretty easy choice this week. Want to know which band gets the crown? [Review] Shannon Larkin Tackles ‘The Woman’

shannonlarkin [Review] Shannon Larkin Tackles The Woman
Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin is back with yet another awesome horror movie review! This time, he’s tackling BD Selects‘ film The Woman, which hits limited theaters today. Having met and chatted horror with Shannon, I know for a fact that this man’s goal with these reviews is to share his honest opinion, not skewing it or swaying it for anyone or anything. So, keep that in mind when checking out his review, conveniently located after the jump (how about that!).
Directed by Lucky McKee and based on a novel he co-wrote with Jack Ketchum, The Woman follows the story of a man who will stop at nothing to protect his family from a feral woman living in the nearby woods.
