Boss Announce Three New Guitar FX Pedals
I’m not the biggest fan of Boss pedals but I can’t deny that they are incredibly popular and are used by pretty much some of the biggest names in the music industry. And now Boss will be adding three more pedals to their already pretty damn extensive lineup. The three pedals, which will make their debut at NAMM 2013, are the TE-2 Tera Echo, the DA-2 Adaptive Distortion, and the MO-2 Multi-Overtone. [OMFG] The History Of Rock N Roll In 100 Guitar Riffs
Rock n roll is a genre that came from blues and has morphed into countless subgenres and forms of expression. We hear it everyday and don’t even realize it. Well, one guy decided to play 100 iconic guitar riffs one after the other to create a sort of history of rock ‘n’ roll. It’s an awesome video that I highly recommend watching below.

Stumbling across awesome YouTube videos isn’t really that hard of a chore. I mean, how many YouTube videos are there? The number is probably in the billions by now, right? Tens of billions? Meh, whatever, I’m straying from the point. Finding awesome videos isn’t that hard but finding awesome videos that I want to share with YOU, my lovely readers, is something completely different!
Below, you can see a video from YouTube user SuperGuitarBros as they acoustically jam through several Castlevania tunes. The song was actually recorded as part of a greater soundtrack of Castlevania jams from several different musicians. The compilation, entitled Vampire Variations, is available for free download here. [OMFG] This Alien-Inspired Guitar Is Way Too Awesome To Handle
I’ve been playing guitar for about 14 years now and I’m a sucker for guitar porn. Looking at guitars can make me get a little antsy in my pantsy, if you know what I mean. But in all seriousness, I’m a huge fan of custom guitars, both in terms of hardware as much as in artistic creation. My interest stems from me taking my first guitar, a ’97 Epiphone Special 1 (back when that model was a solid guitar), and completely redoing all the hardware. Actually, I might show you that one day.
But moving to the article, below you’ll find pictures of a guitar (what looks like an Ibanez) that Gig Goldstein has carved into an astonishing homage to H.R. Giger and the Xenomorphs from aliens. Even the volume and tone knobs are unique (they’re little egg sacs). Overall, it’s an awesome guitar and I would give quite a bit to rock that bad boy on a regular basis.
