[Album Review] Device ‘Device’

Today marks the release of Device’s debut full-length, the self-titled Device. The brainchild of Disturbed frontman David Draiman, Device features Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo and a slew of guest artists, including Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Serj Tankian (System Of A Down), and more. It is a project that has drawn the interest of countless Disturbed enthusiasts, especially since the announcement of the group’s hiatus in 2011.

[Exclusive] Stream Device’s “Close My Eyes Forever” Here

Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to bring you an exclusive first listen to Device‘s cover of the classic song “Close My Eyes Forever”. This cover sees singer David Draiman (Disturbed) take on Ozzy Osbourne‘s vocals and is joined by Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale, who tackles Lita Ford‘s parts. Device‘s upcoming self-titled debut features ex-Filter guitarist Gene Lenardo, who co-wrote the album. Joining as the touring incantation is Evanescence drummer Will Hunt and Dope guitarist Virus.

Knee High Fox Release Bloody, Sexy Video For “Black Widow”

LA-based rock group Knee High Fox has released a video for “Black Widow”, which comes off their as-of-yet untitled debut album. The video shows the band performing in a dark room with several scantily clad people who are all engaged in some form of sexual tension. Then, things become a bit more vampiric. You can watch the video below.

The debut album is being produced by Howard Benson (Halestorm, RED, Art Of Dying) and will be released in 2013. Knee High Fox features Christine Connolly, who starred in 2006′s Underworld: Evolution. READ MORE

Device, the project from Disturbed vocalist David Draiman, has released a 30-second teaser for their upcoming single “Vilify”, which hits radios Feb. 19th. The self-titled album will be released Apr. 9th. The project features Draiman on vocals and Filter‘s Gene Lenardo on guitars. Various guest musicians are on the album, including Lizzy Hale (Halestorm), M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), and many more.

Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, And More To Take Over Carolina Rebellion

The Carolina Rebellion music festival will be headlined this year by Alice In Chains on May 4th and Soundgarden on May 5th. Other acts include Deftones, Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, Volbeat, and many more. The event will take place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

After wrapping up our last U.S. tour, we were planning on recharging our batteries for awhile, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play with the mighty Soundgarden in what will be one of the only shows we’ll play in the U.S. this year,” says Tim Mcllrath of Rise Against.

Michael Poulsen of Volbeat comments, “In Europe and the U.S., we have enjoyed the experiences that come from being a part of the festival environment, just as the fans do. Looking forward to Carolina Rebellion!

Official Line Up For Rock On The Range 2013 Announced And It’s Amazing

The line up for the 2013 edition of Rock On The Range has been announced and it’s basically full of bands that I would punch a few puppies to see. Headlining the 3-day event are Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and Smashing Pumpkins while amazing bands such as Bush, Stone Sour, Volbeat, Lamb Of God, In Flames, Ghost, Heaven’s Basement, and more are also slated to perform. A nearly complete list of bands performing can be seen below.

The 3-day event begins Friday, Mar. 17th and ends Sunday night, Mar. 19th.

Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell states, “We’re really looking forward to returning to Rock On The Range with a batch of brand new killer Alice tunes to play for everyone!

Korn’s Jonathan Davis adds, “Head is back!! Rock On The Range is going to start it all off!! Get ready, we are going to hit it hard!!

Disturbed’s David Draiman Offers Information On New Project Device

David Draiman (singer of Disturbed) has let loose some details surrounding his industrial band Device. The first bit of information that has come forth is that the first single “Vilify” from the debut record will hit radios on Feb. 19th. A video is being filmed today. Next is that the record has a tentative release date of April 9th.

The album will have guest appearances from Terry “Geezer” Butler (Black Sabbath), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion), M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold), Serj Tankian (System Of A Down), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), and Lizzy Hale (Halestorm).

The live band will see Draiman supported by drummer Will Hunt (Evanescence, Dark New Day) and guitarist Virus (Dope). READ MORE

Let’s Talk The Grammy 2013 Rock Nominations, Shall We?

The official 2013 Grammy nominations list has been released and, as per usual, it takes the opportunity to laud and celebrate what the radios and mass media have been shoving down our throats for the past year (thank god we can use mp3 players and dictate what we want to listen to, right?). Halestorm Announces Headline Tour With In This Moment And Eve To Adam

Female-fronted rock band Halestorm have announced a US headline tour this fall that will see support coming from In This Moment and Eve To Adam. The tour begins in Mobile, AL and ends in Orlando, FL.

Eve To Adam’s Taki Sassaris states, “Both Halestorm and In This Moment are hard hitting bands that we respect immensely. We can’t wait to join forces and tear it up with them every night!”
