In the PS3 game, players hunt the “Origami Killer,” a serial murderer who drowns his victims four days after they are abducted, leaving only a small origami figure and an orchid on the corpse. The game becomes a procedural in which four characters try to solve the crime after another potential victim is kidnapped.
Sad news has struck the video game world as Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy composer Normand Corbiel has passed away at age 56, losing his battle with pancreatic cancer this past Friday. His son posted the news via The Cancer Forum.
The BAFTA-award winning composer was working on Quantic Dream’s upcoming game Beyond: Two Souls. It is unclear if he finished his work.
There is a video below with Corbiel discussing his work on the Heavy Rain soundtrack.
R.I.P. Normand Corbiel. You will be sorely missed but your music will live on. READ MORE
I wish every horror game I enjoyed got a sequel. Even games like BioShock, which don’t really need sequels. If I like it, I usually want more of it, even if it’s only to see where a developer can take their series. Unfortunately, while the slate of releases might suggest otherwise (Black Ops II, Halo 4, Assassin’s Creed III, Resident Evil 6, etc.) it’s difficult for a game to get a sequel, especially in the midst of a new generation of consoles. The problem is studios need to make money, and unless the game has a substantial following or is accessible to a wide audience, potential for a sequel isn’t great.
If you’re reading this, then you’re probably a fan of the horror genre, so you’re undoubtedly aware that when it comes to accessibility, the horror genre (in video games, at least) isn’t exactly known for being welcoming to newcomers. Here are ten games that I think could actually sell well, if they’re given the second chance they deserve.

Heavy Rain is a Playstation 3 exclusive title. And as of right now it’s looking like it’s going to be a major selling point for the PS3. The graphics look incredible, and with unique game play it’s really going to set the game apart.
If you look at the screens beyond the break, it even looks like they made each individual character different and unique, weather part of the story line or not. Unlike every other game where you get used to seeing the same faces over and over again. Keep an eye out for the game February 16th 2010. READ MORE
A huge game this year is going to be Heavy Rain, exclusive to the Playstation 3. There is still not a huge amount known about the game, I’m hoping something will surface at the tail end of E3, but until then check out this video, and screens beyond the break!
If you head beyond the break you can check out some screens from Quantic Dreams game Heavy Rain which is coming out exclusively for the Playstation 3 hopefully the 4th quarter of this year. Heavy Rain is a gorgeous game, where the game unfolds by your actions. Very in depth gameplay, every action has a reaction. The game is not about a score, or competition, it’s actually completely about the game.
Heavy Rain will be coming out in 2009 sometime, hopefully sooner than later exclusively on the Playstation 3. Head past the break for some awesome screen shots. Got 3 doubles in there, don’t know why haha sorry!
Watching these 2 videos from the game Heavy Rain really gives you the impression you’re actually watching a movie. The graphics are incredible, especially if you watch the videos in HD.
Head HERE to check out the 1st video which is actually from 2006. It looks amazing and is really eerie.
This video was just released and looks so good, I wanna play the game right now.
