Creativity is the key word for this week’s issue of Hellboy in Hell. Mike Mignola showcases his skills at story crafting and illustration, while the recent Ghastly Award winner for best colourist, Dave Stewart, showcases his abilities as well. This is a massive issue for the new arc of Hellboy; fast paced, intricate, and is topped off with a good ‘ol fashion throw down. Being in his place of birth, Hellboy the closest he’s ever been to his destiny as Lord of Hell. this fact is undoubtedly leading into some serious events within Mignola’s universe. READ MORE

Dark Horse Comics dropped one of their most anticipated titles prior to the New Year, Hellboy In Hell, bringing their most infamous characters back from the grave…sort of. Issue #1 caught us up on events surrounding Hellboy’s demise. During the thrilling climatic pages in “Hellboy: The Storm and The Fury”, the world’s greatest paranormal investigator was fighting to save humanity from The Dragon. At his most triumphant, Hellboy succeeded in stopping the monstrous and fiery behemoth. Like a lot of horror movies, the killer always comes back to life for one last kill. When Hellboy wasn’t paying attention, his heart was suddenly ripped from his chest and he was sent to Hell.

Writer/artist Mike Mignola chatted with Bloody Disgusting about the much anticipated “Hellboy in Hell”, which kicks off this week. Mignola talks about returning to the series in the art department and what Hellboy’s next chapter will be like as he takes a tour around Hell. READ MORE

“B.P.R.D.” has been on a tear as of late with their cataclysmic event “Hell on Earth”, but there has been a little something missing at Dark Horse over the past year. Aside from the odd flashback, the big red wanna-be human hellspawn is no-where to be seen. Well, any fan of “Hellboy” knows this is because his ass is dead.
