Trent Reznor Working On New Secret Project

Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, How To Destroy Angels) has taken to his Facebook page to announce that he is working on a project that involves Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, Luke Wood, who are all behind the Beats By Dre. While no details were given regarding the project or the style of music, Reznor states that this project is something out of normal element and that we will begin to see this work emerge in 2013.

Reznor’s official statement reads, “Some of you may have read that I have begun working with Beats By Dre. For the past year I have indeed been involved with Dre, Jimmy Iovine, Luke Wood, and the rest of the team on a number of very interesting projects that will start to emerge next year. I have been wanting to experiment and focus my energy and creativity in some different directions, and Beats has afforded me that very opportunity. The process has been challenging and fascinating and as much as I’d like to tell you about the things we’ve dreamed up… I just can’t. Not yet…(I can tell you it’s probably not what you’re expecting!)

Trent Reznor To Score Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Main Theme Song

USA Today is reporting that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor will be composing the main theme song for the upcoming action FPS game Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Reznor is no stranger to composing for video games as he has lent his talent to both the Quake and Doom video game series’. Reznor states that because of the US/China Cold War storyline, that “There is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn’t make sense to have a gung-ho patriotic feeling kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty.”

It is also reported that Reznor will be releasing another How To Destroy Angels, the project with his wife Mariqueen Maandiq and film composer Atticus Ross, although the distribution and release date have yet to be determined. READ MORE
