Asking Alexandria Comment On Suicide Silence Singer’s Passing: Add I See Stars To Monster Energy Outbreak Tour

British metalcore band Asking Alexandria are about to embark on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour alongside As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire, and Attila. Suicide Silence was supposed to also be on the bill but the passing of singer Mitch Lucker has obviously required that band to pull off of the tour. Now, Sumerian Records label mates I See Stars have been added to the bill. They will be playing between Attila and Memphis May Fire. Tour dates and ticket information can be found here.

Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce states, “First and foremost I would like to talk about a dear friend of mine who was prematurely taken from us this month. Mitch Lucker was one of the kindest and most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. My thoughts are not only with his family and friends, but also with the millions of people, worldwide, who Mitch helped to mould and inspire into the people they are today. A great man was lost who’s love and passion reached all corners of the globe. As many of you know, Suicide Silence were preparing to join us on our upcoming ‘Outbreak’ Tour. Due to the devastating circumstances they will no longer be joining us physically. They will however, Mitch included, be with us in spirit. We will go out on this tour with As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire & Attila to pay our tributes and respects to Mitch and his brothers in Suicide Silence. A portion of all tickets and official tour t-shirts sold will go to Mitch’s daughter for the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund.

Suicide Silence could never be replaced on our tour as they are the only band in the world who could bring their element, intensity and power to the line-up. For the sake of giving the fans the best show we can under the circumstances, we have decided to add Sumerian family members I See Stars to the bill, NOT AS A REPLACEMENT BY ANY MEANS, but as another band who’s love and passion for music and their fans is as tried and true as ours. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our collective love of music and to show compassion & solidarity in our scene. It’s time to put aside all petty differences and remember what it is that brings us all together, the music. Mitch- from myself and everyone else who will be taking part in this tour, you are forever in our hearts. This one’s for you. We love you. CheersREAD MORE

Ex-Sworn Enemy Guitarist, I See Stars, AND Sumerian Records Slam Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke

Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci has put together a video (that was shot at the Sumerian Records offices) calling out Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke (who used to be the singer of Escape The Fate) for his incredibly egomaniacal attitude that includes kicking support act I See Stars off of the “The Thug In Me Is You Tour”, throwing fans out of venues for simply wearing t-shirts or chanting “I See Stars!”, and, perhaps the most idiotic, throwing microphone stands into the audience at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ, causing physical harm to several fans AND banning all future metal shows from ever playing that venue again. Below is the video that includes fan interviews, news coverage, and footage of Radke being an egotistical prick. Also below are statements from I See Stars and Ronnie Radke. READ MORE

I See Stars Arrested For Trying To See Stars

Yes, that’s a groan-worthy headline and I’m aware of it. However, I don’t care because I have a very simply sense of humor and I’m still chuckling.

Warren, MI electronic hard rock band I See Stars was arrested on August 30th by Saline police for “possession & intent to use hallucinogenic drugs”. While no official statement has been released, vocalist Devin Oliver tweeted a bit about the event. The band mugshots can also be seen here.

Maybe I’m one of the weird ones but I figure a band that is signed, popular, and touring should try to avoid getting in trouble. After all, this is their livelihood. This is how they make a living.

I See Stars Release Video For ‘The Common Hours’

Detroit, Michigan band I See Stars has released a video for ‘The Common Hours’ exclusively on Alternative Press (but of course you can see it below). Now, after watching the video, can my Michigan readers confirm to me that the video was shot in the Crofoot in Pontiac? I’m 99% sure it was shot there. Anyway, this video and track are off the first album, ’3-D’, but the band will be entering the studio this Monday to being their follow-up album, as of yet untitled. The band will be taking a short break from recording to do a tour with We The Kings followed by a Nov. tour with Forever The Sickest Kids and Runner Runner. You can check out the tour dates HERE.
