Killing Floor is one of the few games that offers kick ass holiday events. Well this Halloween will be no different as we are thrown into one of my worst nightmares. Hillbilly Horrors! It’s running now until the November 6th, and for the duration you can get 75% off Killing Floor and 50% off all DLC for the game. The DLC comes with a completely rednecked out new map, new weapons, achievements, an unlockable character and more. Head past the break for all the goods as well as a bunch of new screens.
I haven’t had a chance to check out this season of “The Walking Dead,” yet, but I’m hearing it knocks to prior two seasons out of the park and then some. I’m eagerly awaiting diving back into this world.
In the meantime, we have three new images from the episode airing next Sunday, October 28, “Walk With Me.” In the episode, “Andrea and Michonne find a new community of survivors — and a decision must be made. Watch the official promo inside and then tell us what you think of the season thus far.”
Head inside to check out the pics! And let me know, is this season better than the others? Or is everyone hyping me up too much? READ MORE
Just yesterday the trailer hit for FilmDistrict’s Evil Dead, the Fede Alvarez-directed remake of Sam Raimi’s cult classic 1981 The Evil Dead. This morning, Sony has provided us with an HD look at the film, which we’ve added below alongside 100 – yes, 100(!) – high resolution screen grabs. Pick some nad use on your computer background!
“In the much anticipated remake, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”
Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore, Jessica Lucas and (supposedly) Bruce Campbell all star. READ MORE
FilmDistrict’s new Evil Dead is one of the most important genre films in the past few years. It’s one that could make or break what kind of movies studios make in the next 5 years. We personally fell in love with the first image and trailer, which is why I’ve been weeding through everything hoping to find a needle in the haystack. Through my morning of screen-grabbing (100 high resolution images coming right up!), I came across something that could be potentially HUGE (but then again, it could be nothing).
As many of you Sam Raimi fanatics know, his 1973 Delta 88 Oldsmobile makes a cameo in all of his films beginning with his 1981 The Evil Dead. In the latest installment, in theaters April 12, 2013, director Fede Alvarez has put the same car in as a prop. This drops a bomb of questions with the two main ones being: is this just an homage, or is this potentially the same vehicle Ash (Bruce Campbell) drove in the original trilogy? This car cameo could actualy mean that the new Evil Dead is a direct sequel to the first film. Could these demons have already feasted on the souls of the characters from the 1981 film? Perhaps it takes place in that universe alone and ignores Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness (if I remember correctly, the car gets sucked in a vortex and goes back in time in those)? And if you look at the below images, the exact same light is smashed!
Am I reading too much into this? Probably. Still, it’s kind of a cool cameo that deserves a look. Check out Jane Levy taking a drag and writing something down atop the 1973 Delta 88 Oldsmobile. READ MORE
It’s been an interesting few weeks here on Bloody Disgusting. Since the first image hit, and the trailer leaked out of the New York Comic-Con, we’ve been extremely excited. Unfortunately, not all of you agree. The word “remake” stings quite a bit, especially when you’re talking about Sam Raimi’s cult 1981 The Evil Dead. It definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but, it’s hard to ignore the fact that this film was obviously made for us. With Paramount releasing ultra-safe horror like Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside, Sony and FilmDistrict are venturing into new territory. From my perspective, they’re dipping their toes into the waters of “dangerous” cinema. Most of us will be in theaters April 12, but will the rest of the country? Evil Dead looks absolutely, fantastically brutal. And that’s cause for some celebration.
Ok, enough filibustering. After watching the first red band trailer, I not only took 55 screen grabs for you guys to dig through (HD grabs forthcoming), but I quickly dissected them into 10 things I learned from the Evil Dead trailer. You’ll find it all inside. READ MORE
Michael J. Bassett, who directed Solomon Kane and the forthcoming Silent Hill: Revelation, was behind the camera for at least an episode or two of “Da Vinci’s Demons”, a new Starz series penned by the popular David Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight Rises). I wasn’t really sure where they were going with this project. Until now.
The first images from the series have been released (via THR) and they’re amazing! It’s kind of like Hudson Hawk without Bruce Willis with a little bit of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes thrown in for good measure. I’m not sure that this is the intent here, but who knows until we actually see the thing?
In the show, “In a world where thought and faith are controlled, one man fights to set knowledge free. Leonardo Da Vinci is tortured by a gift of superhuman genius. He finds himself in a conflict between truth and lies, religion and reason, past and future. His aspirations are used against him by the opposing forces of the time – luring him into a game of seduction where those who despise his intellect need him most. His quest for knowledge nearly becomes his undoing. Da Vinci throws himself into his genius and emerges as an unstoppable force that lifts an entire era out of darkness and propels it into light. His story becomes a mirror into our own world, calling us all to join his fight to free the future.”

If you played the Mass Effect series and know a bit of its lore, the Collectors posed quite a threat in the second game. Well those punk bitches are back in the Retaliation DLC. That’s not all though. This pack is going to be HUGE. One of my favorites is an addition of “hazards” to the regular maps. Lightening, sandstorms, whiteouts and more.
New weapons, new class kits, new upgrades, some of the enemy factions will be getting new allies to fight against you. This DLC is really going to change the mulitplayer up. You only have to wait until October 9th to get it. Though waiting until Tuesday sucks because there goes your week. You can download it October 9th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 for free. Check out a trailer and some screen shots and all the details past the break.
“The Walking Dead“ follows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors who must not only fight the dead, but also face a whole new fear: the living. Season three of “The Walking Dead” will air in two-parts with the first eight hours kicking off October 14 and the final episodes returning beginning February 2013. Check out nearly 50 high resolution images inside!
Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, IronE Singleton, and Melissa McBride.
“In the highly anticipated new season, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 3 also introduces new characters, including the Governor (David Morrissey) and fan-favorite Michonne (Danai Gurira), along with her zombie pets.”
In addition, in response to DISH taking away its customers’ favorite scripted drama series on basic cable – “The Walking Dead” – AMC is offering all DISH subscribers a special live stream of the hit show’s season three premiere episode on Sunday, October 14, at 9PM ET/6PM PT on amctv.com. This streaming event will run concurrently with the television debut so DISH subscribers who are fans of the series can experience this highly-anticipated premiere at the same time it’s available to all other cable and satellite subscribers.
We saw the teaser. We’ve been patiently waiting for the Zombies Mode trailer. Past the break you can check it out, and it does not disappoint. What I’m really hoping for eventually is another star studded cast to fight the hordes. I’m also waiting for Treyarch to DO A STANDALONE ZOMBIE GAME. I know they’ve got it in them. But I suppose as long as they are chained to the Call Of Duty franchise they may never have the time to fit that in. Check out the awesome trailer past the break, pre-order the game to get the Nuketown Zombies map.
Up until this point I was pretty excited about Remember me. Until I saw the Combo Lab video you can check out past the break. Maybe it’s just me but when you start adding too much to things that should be a lot simpler the game starts to fall apart. In the Combo Lab video they show you how you can create your own combos to take down specific enemies. I’m lazy, and that seems to involve way too much work. Check out the video past the break and let me know what you think. Screen shots are there too, you know, if you’re into that sort of thing. Remember Me will be released May of next year assuming the world doesn’t end this December. PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
I’m not sure if any of you remember Zombie Driver. I posted about it so long ago I’m not sure if I even had pubes. Ok, well maybe not that long ago. The easiest way to sum up Zombie Driver is think original Grand Theft Auto. Except you drive around in a totally modded kick ass car destroying zombies. Previously released on the PC, but now downloadable on the Xbox Live Arcade. You can pick it up for 800 Splattered Microsoft Zombies. Check out a trailer past the breaks, and more screenshots.
Over 2 years ago I introduced you all to Afterfall: Insanity. We hadn’t really heard much up after that. The game came out almost a year ago to very mediocre scores. The newest version of the game is supposed to be quite a step up from its initial release. Adam also brought it back to us thanks to Steam’s Project Greenlight. I played a demo quite a while back and honestly I was quite bored by it. I’m hoping this updated version can pull it away from it’s 50% Metacritic score. New screens past the break.
Fantastic Fest is thrilled to announce the final installment of programming for Fantastic Fest 2012, including the world premiere screening of The Collection. Fantastic Fest will take place September 20-27 in Austin, Texas at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar.

Earlier this morning we gave you the update that the newest entry in the Child’s Play franchise, Curse of Chucky, had officially begun principal photography. And now we have some images from the set in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Curse of Chucky stars Fiona Dourif (The Master, “True Blood,” “Deadwood”), A Martinez (“Longmire,” “General Hospital”), Danielle Bisutti (Get Smart, “CSI: Miami”) and Brennan Elliott (Flight 93, Double Jeopardy). Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings, Dune) once again returns to provide the voice of Chucky, the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray, who returns to settle some unfinished business. The film is directed by Don Mancini, the Child’s Play franchise creator who has written or co-written each of the previous movies.
In the film, “Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He’s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he’s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.”
Head inside for some behind the scenes photos from the set! We have a look at some puppeteers controlling Chucky’s arms and a production notice involving… circus trucks? READ MORE
Silent Hill BOM (Bowel of movements) screens are here straight from this years PAX. I unfortunately don’t see myself making the purchase of a PS Vita anytime soon so I hope this gets ported elsewhere so I can give it a slam dunk into the garbage can. Anyone else have as little faith in this game as I do? Check out more screens past the break.
Finally! Now we get to meet the characters of “American Horror Story: Asylum”! EW got their hands on 10 stills featuring the primary cast in character and, for my money, it looks more interesting that Season 1. Also – it’ll feature Aliens? Per the article, ““aliens, Nazis, and a serial killer named Bloody Face who wears a mask made out of his victims skin along with black nightie and opera length gloves.”
Starting on October 17th, only on FX, the new season is set at an East Coast asylum for the criminally insane in 1964, and revolves around Jessica Lange’s new character — a nun — and her boss at the institution, played by James Cromwell. Clea Duvall, Chris Zylka, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, The Voice’s Adam Levine, Mark Consuelos and newcomer Lizzie Brochere round out the cast. Other returning cast members set to play new roles include Sarah Paulson, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe.
The first installment of “American Horror Story” earned 17 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, tying for the most of any program this year and setting a record for the most Emmy nominations for a miniseries in basic cable history. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loreto and Tim Minear are Executive Producers of “American Horror Story: Asylum.” It is produced by 20th Fox Television.

Now filming in Toronto, Canada is Sony Screen Gems’ remake of Carrie, which has Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry, Stop-Loss) in the director’s chair.
Last week we shared the first pics, which featured Chloe Moretz in one of Carrie‘s most iconic moments as well as a look at Julianne Moore in character as Margaret White. Now we have some new on set images via Just Jared that show Carrie before her blood drenching and then headed out in her rampage covered in the stuff.
The film also stars Judy Greer (The Descendants), Alex Russell (Chronicle), Gabriella Wilde and Portia Doubleday. Carrie tells the supernatural tale of a telekinetic teenage girl tormented by her peers. “The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.” Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of Carrie earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.
Head inside for the pics! Carrie is slated for a March 13, 2013 theatrical release. READ MORE
Last week we featured a gaggle of new “American Horror Story: Asylum” video promos and now it appears as if the marketing has shifted to the non-moving image. Even though these teaser posters feature imagery from the aforementioned promos, they’re actually pretty d*mn good looking.
Being commited this October, only on FX, the new season is set at an East Coast asylum for the criminally insane in 1964, and revolves around Jessica Lange’s new character — a nun — and her boss at the institution, played by James Cromwell.

Vaylr Studios, the company behind Pray For Dark, seems to think so. Here’s the problem. They need their Kickstarter campaign funded or this game may never get finished. With only $2500 funded of the projected $400,000 needed they are quite short of their goal. We’ve been promised redefining games before and all have fallen short. Rule number 1 when making a game is never to announce that it could redefine a genre, or that it’s another games killer. The game does look pretty cool so far, you can check out the trailer past the break. Game facts go! They are also building the game around some of an artist known as Brom‘s art. The dev team considers the game so scary they call it psycho terror. The game follows main character known as “Sewer Man” or “Angel” who is blind but has special goggles that allow him to see. In turn he can slaughter the horrid creatures living in the sewers. More past the break.
No, it’s not that kick ass movie staring the dude from Twilight and the chick from Lost. It’s a newly announced game from Capcom that takes place about 70 years in the future. Where memories can be bought, sold, and traded. You play as Nilin, a memory hunter, whose memory gets wiped clean by authorities out of fear of everything she knows. May of 2013 is the supposed release on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Trailer and artwork past the break.
Something pretty awesome aside from the super awesome looking storyline in Far Cry 3 is its 4 player co-op mode. You and 3 friends can experience something completely different from the campaign, as you work together to take out the captain of a ship. Head past the break to see an awesome trailer for the co-op campaign, and some screens. Look out for Far Cry 3 December 4th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about the new Tomb Raider game. I’m hoping this recharge of the series does well and spawns some more games of the same caliber. If you’d like to see Lara going through some more hard times head past the break to check out some new images. The games release on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 next March is too far away.
Update: Thanks to our wonderful readers I have discovered the game IS available in the US. You can get it HERE!
For those of you who have been around BD and more so Dead Pixels know that Final Fantasy VII is my favorite game of all time. Well, you can download the digital PC version now from HERE for €9.99 normally €12.99. The problem for me, is that I, living in the US, cannot download the game. I’ve never been more let down. Head past the break for screens, a trailer, game info, and whatever I don’t give a crap.
