Century Media And Associated Labels Pull Out Of Spotify
Update: There is a really cool graph after the jump that shows just how much Spotify “helps” an artist.
Century Media Records and its associated labels are no longer participating in Spotify, the music streaming website. This means that artists such as Lacuna Coil, Leprous, In Flames, Nevermore, and others are no longer available for your listening pleasure (at least on Spotify). The label has released a statement which I feel tells the story pretty well.
“Century Media and its associated labels “InsideOutMusic”, “Superballmusic”, “Ain’t no Grave Records”, “Hollywood Waste” and “People Like You” have decided to pull their repertoire from Spotify in an attempt to protect the interests of their artists.”
