Due to a “provocative” scene that appears on the first two pages of Saga #12, Apple has banned all digital sales on the issue for their devices. The images are not tame, but who cares? I can surf the web for porn on my iPhone, but I’m not allowed to pay for a comic book that is far less scandalous? I read the issue already and I didn’t even notice the cocks until they were pointed out. You can see the ejaculating penises below as well as a statement from BKV himself.
UPDATE: Well, that was blown out of proportion by myself, BKV, and other news sites. Apparently, Apple did not ban the book, it was ComiXology, and it was never due to the depiction of gay sex explicitly. The book will be available in the App Store app soon.
It seems like House Of The Dead: Overkill has been sleeping its way around the video game industry. The game will not be exactly the same as its 2 previous versions as it has been re-purposed for mobile platforms. No release date, and no price yet. Head past the break for some new screenshots from the game.

There’s no shortage of runner games on Apple’s mobile gaming platform, but Curio stands apart from the rest by being horror themed, and having a fucking weird trailer. The game came out last December, but a brand new update that went live yesterday added more than 50% more content to the game, including new items, Easter Eggs, and a tutorial. I could keep talking about it, but I think I’d rather let Tommy Wiseau (writer, director and star of The Room) give you an idea of what you can expect from it in the trailer below.
You can grab Curio on the iTunes App store for a cool .99 cents. Head past the break for some more info about the game and what its first update has added to it. READ MORE
I don’t own any iOS devices that could play The Dark Meadow, and I’m starting to wish I did. Being developed by Phosphor Games (Chicago, hell yeah!) and running on The Unreal 3 Engine, the game so far looks awesome. Check out the teaser trailer below. You wouldn’t know it was a mobile game by the gorgeous look of the video.

I almost glanced over The Dark Meadow as I was perusing through some video game stuffs, but I’m glad I stopped. The Dark Meadow is an iOS game that runs on the Unreal 3 game engine. “From the start, our vision for The Dark Meadow was to create a top-tier console gaming experience that works on iOS devices from 3GS to iPad 2,” said Chip Sineni, Director of Phosphor Games Studios. “From the real-time cinematics and in-depth storyline, to the gesture-based ranged and melee combat systems, our goal is to integrate the best of hardcore console gaming with the intuitive ease of the casual mobile world.”

I’m not really sure how I missed it, (maybe because it has the potential to be terrible) but the Scre4m game was released May 31st on the iOS devices. In Scre4m you play as the killer hunting down your unsuspecting victims.
You can download the “Lite” free version right now and play 2 levels. And I encourage you to do so, and please post in the comments below how awful the game is. I’m just assuming the game is terrible, because, well why wouldn’t I? Features and screens past the break. READ MORE
Army Of Darkness: Defense was recently released on those damned iOS devices, and so far the game is doing very well. It’s nearing 2000 customer ratings and still maintaining a 5 star rating. I only wish they would release it on Android, PSN, or XBLA so I could play it!
The game is out right now and you can download it for 99cents on the iPhone and iPhod Touch, or $2.99 on the iPad. But the price will soon be going up for the iPad version so get it while you can on the cheaps! READ MORE
Of course, this is announced the day AFTER I buy an Android…
Backflip Studios, in partnership with MGM Studios, is proud to announce that its highly anticipated homage to Sam Raimi’s Army Of Darkness is now live on the Apple App Store with Army of Darkness: Defense, a mobile castle defense game based on the 1992 classic film Army of Darkness.
Defense takes place during the pivotal castle scene within the movie where Ash and his allies defend the powerful Necronomicon within Lord Arthur’s fortress from the onslaught of Deadites. Gamers take on the role of the chiseled chin, one-liner-spouting Ash while summoning familiar troops, spells and weapons from the movie to help in the defense. Gameplay features include over 150 direct lines of dialogue from Bruce Campbell (!) as Ash Williams, and beautifully animated graphics using the well-known “Granny 3D” engine. In the game, Ash has the ability to call upon a wide variety of allies to help preserve the Necronomicon including swordsman, armored knights, archers and more. In addition to the originally composed sound and music, the app also features many of the famous characters from the movie including Arthur, Henry, Sheila, the Wiseman, Evil Ash, and more.
You can purchase the iPhone/iPod Touch version for $0.99 here and the iPad version for $2.99 here. I’m not sure if there’s a difference between tower and castle defense games (other than the exact location you’re stationed), but if it’s anything like Plants Vs. Zombies, I’ll be praying for a port.
Check past the break for screenshots.

I thought this was HILARIOUS, so I thought I would share it with our beloved fans. Shave Me! is a ridiculous app you can get for most newer mobile phones. Basically the screen is a harry patch of skin and it’s up to you to shave it. With razors, electrics, use shaving cream. You can even cut to deep and make the skin bleed, then you have to put toilet paper squares on the skin and after shave.
You can download the app/game for free, or pay 1 dollar for an ad free version. Try it out, it’s good for a laugh haha. Screens past das break. READ MORE

It must be zombie Wednesday or something. In Tactical Soldier Undead Rising you play as a group of soldiers in a zombie infested army base who are trying to figure out exactly what happens. The game is turn based and looks to play a bit like Final Fantasy Tactics or Vandal Hearts. Check out the video below.
They are in the process of working on the 2nd campaign for the game right now which will bring the total gameplay from 7 hours up to 10-11. On the site they also hint at multiplayer in the future. PC and Mac versions are also in the works, to be announced at a later date. The game will be officially released next Wednesday March 30th on the newer iOS devices. “We created this game out of passion for the turn based games that we used to play in the old days. We love games like x-com, jagged alliance and similar but couldn’t find many games of this kind on the App Store and thus we assumed that we were not the only ones, wishing for more games in the genre.” READ MORE
