Lots of games are getting made over and redone and re-released on newer gaming devices. Nothing at all wrong with that. Bringing a CLASSIC such as Double Dragon back is genius. On that note, Double Dragon will be back this March on the Apple iOS devices. And it is totally redone and looking new and fancy, but still keeping its 2D side scrolling roots.
Billy and Jimmy are back, and it’s up to them to save Marian from the Black Warriors. What do they want? They want the Sousetsuken scrolls for Marian, or Marian will be killed. If you’re the type of person who’s constantly on the move and in need of some entertainment to make those long commutes less dull than I do believe I’m about to make your day. Next month Capcom will be giving us a dose of mobile zombie kickassery with the release of Resident Evil: Mercenaries Vs. for Apple’s iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad). In Mercenaries Vs. you and a friend (or random stranger) go up against two other players in what I can only guess will be incredibly frantic duels where you each take turns trying to get your enemies to stand still so you can shoot them. Seriously, give us strafing Capcom.
Not your cup ‘o zombie flavored tea? That’s understandable, so why don’t you sit back and let me serve you some Necromorph seasoned news to quench your thirst for horror on the go. As you may have noticed most Zombie games recently have taken on the roll of a 3rd person Smash TV like shooter. While fun, it keeps the games from really being scary. Zombie Crisis 3D is a 1st person zombie shooter, and though the graphics look a few systems old it still has a scary look to it.
In the game a company known as The Agro Company has a bio-accident infecting its employees and eventually completely turning them into zombies. You play as Dana a mercenary who is sent to investigate the Ago labs to see what all the zombie fuss is about. More past the break. READ MORE
EA recently unveiled a slew of titles coming to Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, one of which will be take place in the Dead Space universe. This isn’t a huge surprise since a mobile installment in the series was listed among upcoming EA releases some time ago, but the fact that the PSP and DS aren’t getting any dismembering love is a little surprising.
However, this will not be the same game the consoles are getting in January, instead this game will bridge the gap between the original and its upcoming sequel. Kind of a Dead Space: Case Zero, if you will. If this tickles your fancy, head past the jump for a release date, more details on the game, and the other EA titles making their way to Apple’s platforms. READ MORE

Get ready for an onslaught of Halloween geared games coming at you from every which way and gunning for your flesh. 1st off is Zombie Racers for your Apple devices. iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, etc. The game is pretty simple, you drive around splattering zombies, and killing them with fun weapons attached to your car. You can play online with a friend, which honestly looks like it will be really fun, it’s a shame I only own a 4 year old iPod. Oh, and the game soundtrack is done by a punk band. It doesn’t really sound like the game can get any better.
The game is out now for Apple devices. Head past the break for screens and game features. READ MORE
Back when I was a young lad, Secret Of Mana came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993. Needless to say, it changed my life. Incredible story, graphics, gameplay, music, unforgettable characters. It played more like Zelda games, you could upgrade weapons by forging and magic became more powerful with more usage. It was one of the legs in my Super Nintendo RPG Table that consisted of Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, and Secret Of Mana. The music in this trailer gave me chills and brought back amazing childhood memories.
At E3 it was announced that Secret Of Mana will be coming out for the iPhone. I will never get an iPhone. But being able to carry this game around with me wherever I go is incredibly tempting. The game does not yet have a release date. READ MORE
“Given the amount of zombies I’ve brought to life, I figured everyone should be able to do the same,” -George A. Romero.-

Undead: The Last Refuge is a 1st person zombie shooter for the iPhone. From the video below it looks to be a stand off type game where you are sheltered and stuck fighting waves of zombies as they close in on your location. There really isn’t much story to the game besides that the apocalypse is happening and zombies are coming to eat your god damn brains.
The game is looking to be released sometime in May, head past the break for features. READ MORE
The original Alive 4-ever was released last year for the iPhone and iPod touch and received great reviews and was ranked as of of the best games in the Apple App Store. So what do you do when you are one of the best? You cash in on a sequel of course! Alive 4-ever RETURNS is that sequel. But in this version they are using a better game engine, it’s got better graphics, game play, you name it.
The game is top down Smash TV style game play with newly added RPG elements for the sequel. RETURNS picks up where the original left off. “A month after the outbreak of the virus accident in Nefount City, Dr. Lederman, who is a Research Director of the pharmaceutical company, was issued a warrant for his arrest due to his involvement in the accident. His plan was to smuggle the virus sample into South America by sea, and hand it over to an unknown organization.”READ MORE
Kick Ass the movie comes out this Friday in theaters, so why not release a crime fighting bloody as hell game to go with it? You’ll be able to get the game on the Playstation Network April 29th, and on the portable Apple devices April 17th. The game will cost $14.99 on the PSN, and $2.99 on the Apple appliances.
In the game you will be able to play as Kick Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy. I’m not sure why they left Red Mist out, laziness? The game is 3rd person, will feature 12 story missions, and 2 bonus rounds, and as you can tell by the video is full of gore. The game only has local co-op multiplayer (cough shitty cough). In a game like this, where you have 4 main characters, there should be 4 player co-op online multiplayer. But for some reason they left out a main character, and screwed you on online multiplayer. Past the break for screens. READ MORE

In case you wanted more zombie games on the iPhone, I’m going to let you take a look at another one. This one is a zombie RTS however. Pretty much like most RTS’s you build up your defenses and ready yourself for the oncoming attack.
Jan Benjaminson, CEO of Resolution Interactive, says: “BioDefense will revolutionize the strategy genre on the iPhone. It just feels more free than other Tower Defense games and is not as complicated to learn like most RTS games. It’s just pure fun to play with a really addictive gameplay. So we’re very excited to let gamers explore this unique experience on the platform.” Features past the break. READ MORE
Zombie Wonderland, another magical zombie iPhone game. This zombie game is a tower defense, except sadly you are fighting off cute zombies. If that is even possible. Luckily Niceville USA has Chuck. He is a Zombie Cleaner. So when you are having an infestation problem, you call Chuck.
On top of completely destroying zombies, and keeping them at bay, you control Chuck and you also have to keep the peoples houses clean after splattering some brains on the floors. Zombie Wonderland should be out now in the Apple App Store. Head past the break for screens and some more game info. READ MORE
What you thought I was kidding about zombie day? No no, plenty of zombies to go around. PopCap’s Plants Vs Zombies has bumped Bejeweled out of the number 1 spot taking the title of “Best iPhone Game Launch Ever.” In a mere 9 days the game sold over 300,000 copies. The game sells for $2.99 on in the Apple Store.
It has already been said that the game has made over 1 million dollars from the Apple Store alone! That’s pretty awesome, especially with all the zombie games out there in the mobile phone world. Bejeweled 2 is also a PopCap game, so knocking it out of the top spot is more icing on an already delicious cake for the company. Past the break for screens. READ MORE
So enough with the straight up action zombie killing. Let’s get down to some zombie tower defense shall we? Zombie Smash! will be coming to the Apple App Store in March, and you will be able to pick it up for only $1.99. Can’t go wrong! Even if it sucks.
You take on the role of Joey (because it is absolutely necessary to give the character in a 2 dollar zombie tower defense game for the apple store a name), who is the sole survivor in this zombie mayhem. Devs at Gamedoctors have created their own genre (even though there have been many games to fit the category previously) “Survival Comedy”. Past the break for features and screens. READ MORE
