What is the one thing that the iPhone apps store has a plentiful amount of? Zombie games. However, technically you can never have too many zombie. I mean unless there is an outbreak or something. Out now from publisher AND developer Freeverse is Zombie Cannon Carnage.
In this zombie game, you fire your alien zombies into the sky and use their jetpacks to fly them in objects to destroy them and rack up points. You zombies can also lose limbs which gains you extra points, but you can also completely explode while destroying the environment around you. I’m still waiting for it to come to consoles, but Dawn Of The Dead is out right now iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is semi based off the remake of Dawn Of The Dead, and was released back in 2004.

It finally happened. Resident Evil 4 for the iPhone. The game should be released in the united states sometime in September.
It has been six years since the destruction of Raccoon City. Leon S. If you couldn’t get enough of Resident Evil Degeneration, well now you can play it on your iPhone. Capcom has brought the movie of the same name in game form to your touch screen.
In the game, players take control of Leon S. Kennedy and an arsenal of bone-shattering weapons in order to combat a horde of zombies and horrific tyrants. Featuring high-resolution 3D graphics and intuitive context sensitive Multi-Touch controls, Resident Evil: Degeneration fully utilizes the accelerometer functionality of iPhone and iPod touch. Tilting the device will reload weapons, and a shake helps shrug off infected enemies. Konami has just released Silent Hill: The Escape exclusively for the iPhone, and the iPod Touch. You can get the game for $7.99.
The game is unlike any other Silent Hill game as you will be playing in 1st person, and all you will have to navigate the darkness like usual is your flashlight. But the flashlight will slowly die throughout the game making it a bit harder to navigate the darkness. You’ll be in the hospital, and a subway, among other areas. SIlent Hill: The Escape uses the iPhones tilt function, and you must tap the screen to reload the 5 shot revolver to fend off the monsters in a search of an escape from this nightmarish hell. Hardcore Silent Hill fans and iPhone nerds can get pretty excited over the fact that Konami is exclusively making a few games for the iPhone. Frogger, and Metal Gear Solid are a couple, and the 3rd, Silent Hill: The Escape. All 3 will be coming out early 2009 and will definitely be taking advantage of the iPhones touch screen capabilities. Little is known so far about the game aside from the fact that it will be in 1st person, and that these 3 games are just the 1st so far Konami is making for the iPhone.
The graphic novel from 2005 has now been ported to the Iphone for your reading pleasure. IDW has been at the towards the forefront of digital copies of comics, I have their Metal Gear Solid series on the PSP and love it. More info after the break…
